06. The Privilege Of The High Ranking Job Of Being A Shepherd

It's like, it's like being becoming a manager when when you when you are being made a shepherd, it's like you are being made a manager. Wow, how many realize that you never have been made a manager in this life? Raise your hand if you realize you'd ever have been made a manager the way things are, isn't it? Where would you have been a manager? Manager of where? A manager of who? You cannot even manage yourself. It's only by the grace of God that you are being made into a manager. Hey, that's why it's a privilege. Yeah, it's like you are being made a manager. Oh yeah, sure. You are managing people's lives. It's a privilege #2 Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being a boss. Wow, how many are surprised that somebody like you is becoming a boss? You have always been saying yes Sir, yes Sir to somebody, but for the first time God is making you into a boss #3 Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being interest made into a supervisor. Somebody like you, a cleaner at work. I have some cleaners in one of my churches. I made them into pastors, but because they didn't understand the extent of the privilege, they rebelled against me. They were the people. Some of them were some of the people that were asking that they wanted certain percentages. And I look at say you, you, you were just a cleaner factory worker, illiterates. And we have honored you in the church to be a pastor that grown-ups, doctors and other professionals call you pastor and defer to you. You. There is nowhere in this life based on your background, your education, that anybody would have ever deferred to you for anything but through the honor being bestowed on you. And then you turn around with insults and all kinds of things, writing anonymous texts. It's very wonderful. People don't understand the sense of privilege that is being given to them. I'm telling you, that's what some of you when we are giving you the privilege, you realize that people don't realize that it's a privilege. Even even when you are educated and so on, it's not easy to be a boss. So now you may be an accountant, you may be whatever. You cannot easily be a boss. People are deferring to yourself. Somebody said, good morning, pastor, could it be somebody like you? If you know if there's a mappasa called Archbishop Duncan Williams in Accra, when he, when he starts to speak about the grace of God, he used to sell PK. Do you know PKPK is chewing gum? He used to sell PK. Do you have PK here? He used to sell PK at a place called Opera Square, running around selling PK. Will you buy? Members of Parliament and presidents and others are coming to your church #3 being made a shepherd is the high-ranking job. Like being a supervisor #4 like being a director. Like you are being made a director. That's what it is. Then to your nearest neighbor, say director. I didn't know that you are being made into a director. How many realize that I've come with good news for you? How many realize I've come with good news, not with good news. In your practical real life, when will you be a director? The next one is a high-ranking log, like being an executive. An executive #7 being a shepherd is a high-ranking job of being a superior. Superior #8 being a shepherd is a high-ranking job like being a governor. Governor, hey, that's what it means and has elevated you governor. When I went to the castle, I saw where the governors used to live. They used to look down and call for some of any of the women to sleep with, bring them up. The governor just looked at it. That one, that one, that one. Bring her to me quickly. Ashes, you are too slow. Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being a Superintendent. Hey Superintendent #10 Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being a proprietor. Proprietor means the owner, the owner of the thing. Wow #11 Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being an organizer #12 Being a shepherd is a high-ranking job, like being a controller. And #13 being a shepherd is a high-ranking joy, like being an overseer. And #14 being a shepherd is a high-ranking joy like being a chief. Chief Africa, we understand chieftaincy. Yeah, you become a big man Amen. Amen. So now, before you can realize you are being treated like a chief, Is it good news? Is that good news? Yeah. But you don't have to let it go to your head. That said not not as being Lords over God's heritage. You don't have to be like a Lord. You have to teach the people so that they they recognize that even though you are making yourself just like them, that we are not the same. It's true. That's why also people don't. Yeah. You make yourself ordinary. They start to assume that that is how you must be and they they don't even recognize. And somebody said, oh, thank God for Bishop that he stays, He's living where he's living. I'm fairly grateful that somebody said, I lost all one day I was driving a car or this. I've lost all respect for Bishop when I saw him driving that car. As I look at somebody, you want to fix me in a particular car and a particular you want me to stay there to please you. That's what your estimation of humility, Math Jyoti. If it's not you just straight looking and smiling, no one will ever detect that it was you. You should rather be saying for your pastor, no, you must be here, you must be here. Judas Iscariot is the one who didn't want Jesus Christ to be, to have on him honor bestowed. It's a satanic, Judaistic spirit. When you don't like your head to be honored and cared for in a very special day, something wrong with you. And when your head is rather making himself ordinary, you should feel embarrassed by that ordinariness. It should embarrass you. You don't have to. That's how it must be. That's how a good leader is. Are you there? That's why you will never be celebrated. One day I went to somebody's birthday party when I was going. Just as may you be celebrated also. Hey, may you be celebrated. You can easily not be celebrated because you will never celebrate somebody. You never honored someone. So no one ever rises up to honor you. It's not part of your culture. It's not part of your life to honor people, to celebrate people, to recognize differences. Your mind is always we are the same. What do you mean that joking? Amen Now when you become a shepherd, it means you have been delivered from a low ranking job in the world. Amen Now what does it mean to be delivered from a low ranking job? Number one, it means you have been elevated above the rank of a routine job. You have been elevated above a routine job. There is nothing routine about ministry because we are always following the Lord and He's always telling us what to do, Amen. Where to go, what to say, Hallelujah #2. Being a shepherd is being elevated above the rank of being a minor, Amen. A minor in the workplace #3 being a shepherd is being elevated above being a subordinate for the rest of your life. I mean, I think I would like to be a shepherd. How many would like to have a location where you will not be a subordinate? And in all your life you have been a subordinate. All your life you are a minor. All your life, you are nobody. Becoming a shepherd is the greatest privilege that could ever be given, and it will endure into eternity. And in eternity you are going to receive the crown of glory, the most beautiful crown reserved for people. And I think I can understand why the Lord will give the crown of glory to shepherds. I mean, he's chosen shepherds to give the crown of glory because it is his job. It's his job. I mean, he's chosen that I would give the beautiful 1 to shepherds. So singers, watch out. So, but I wish I used to sing with Davidson. It's not like that singing is different from shepherding all single single, but you still cannot get a crown for singing Amen #4 it is being routine. Minor subordinates #4 being a sharp has been elevated above an inferior job. An inferior job? Come on now. What are you talking about? Inferior. Every job is inferior to the job of ministry. Every single job. Medicine. Why do you think I left it? It's far, far, far, far, far, far below ministry. I'm a doctor. I went to medical school for seven good years from 1982 to 1989, counted 8283848586878889. How many is that? Seven years solid. I was in university. My university was not three years university and there were not 1500 people in my class. There were only 55 people in my class. These universities that you're going to see 304 hundred people say poor education. The universities are sports. 500,500 in a lecture Is there a miracle service or it's a lecture? I crusade. There were only 55 people in my class and five of them were doing dentistry. We're trained at the best university. And yet when God is calling you, then you say, can I see you? Can I see you? When? When do you want to see me after? At home, After we close. Can I come home for discussion? Can we meet? It's true, it's true. My father wanted me to go to Oxford. They told me to go to Oxford. I cannot do this. I said do whatever I want to do. And I was staying in his hotel. I didn't have anywhere to stay. So one day he said he will not pay the electricity bill again for the whole hotel and I was inside. I don't have money. How can I pay the electricity bill of an entire hotel and I'm just in one room mean I knew that my days were numbered. I had to find somewhere to run to. Hey. But I wouldn't, I wouldn't give up this high-ranking job that I've got. It was too high for me to to, to, to lower to, to, to, to give it age. I've seen supervisor power and I've been made a supervisor manager, a superior director and executive. I've been called to be A to become a boss as you leave it for what? You're joking. Proprietor, organizer, controller, chief. OK, I've been elevated above an inferior job, isn't it? How does #4 #5 being a shepherd is being elevated above a lesser job lesser. I always advise people to be discharged from there as soon as possible. Yeah, I remember one of my church members, She was on admission. There were two beds in the in one ward. A young lady was about 27 years old. She was normal. She went there for some small surgery. There was a lady next to her on this side. She was by the window. This lady was by the door, but there were two of them in the room that night. The lady had this type of epilepsy. She had compulsions in the night. They were trying to stabilize. She composed and then she died. The next day my church member who was sleeping by had convulsions for the first time. She has never had a normal peasants grown up. She never had compulsion before. The next day she had compulsion and it was with her from then onwards. That's what I'm telling you, not that somebody I can mention her name right now. She's dead now. She died also died time and time as I was that night, as I was for when I said God, that delivered me from a lesser, a lesser job. I was what that guy who the blood was all over the bed, everywhere, blood we have to clean. And I was now moving between the blood bank and the emergency ward throughout the night to get blood I was carried by all alone was to get this wild place with dead all over. I was asking myself, what job is this? What type of job is this? It's a lesser job. The next one substandard. Is the next one substandard? Substandard. One day I was on the emergency they gave when I went emergency said that we have a bed for you to sleep in the night. So I went to look at that place. Do you know Nokosomia infection? Is it Nokosomia or Nokomia? Nokomia infections, diseases you get from the hospital. When you go to the hospital, you are well. When you leave, you have a sickness that came from either the bed sheet, the real the somebody has got. There's white man that is holding the staircase as it's going. They used to you also come holding like that. They hold your breath, it's coming. No, Socomia shabalu. So when I went, they showed me this is your bed because I'm going to sleep with all the sick people tonight. I'm on duty. I have to stay there. Yeah. So when I finished seeing all the emergencies, I'm talking about substandard jobs. It's lower. I've been called to something higher. I was listening and I look at the place. I said I don't want to sleep here. But in the end I decided to sleep. I was lying, doctor. I said what? Please, somebody's dead. So I said, where's the where's the dead person? He's on this ward at this place. So you have to go and certify. Go and see and certify if he's dead, because you cannot, the doctor has to sign that he's dead. So here I got out, I'm walking through various to go and find a dead man who has just died. To confirm that it's true that he's dead. I entered the words I'm the doctor, followers. I'm talking of staff, standard jobs. I don't even know the disease that he has died of. Is it a virus? Encephalitis, HIV, tuberculosis, Just die? I have to take my stethoscope and some in the chest, the heart, the lungs. Look at his eyes to see whether his eyes will move. So when you put the light or if you are dead, the eye will not. The pupils will not move. And I have to put the hands. It's not moving. Now he's dead. I'm talking about substandard jobs, a job I should, I should leave such a high-ranking job and come and follow dead bodies. No, no, no, no, no. I cannot do that work. Tell someone I cannot go down. Tell someone I cannot go at my age, I cannot go down there. I want to work for God, I said. I want to work for God. I have decided to work for God and you cannot tell me back in Jesus name until I get into that box. And the way you see me in the box say hey, he said he will work till he's in the box. So he's finally in the box. You are looking at me. You think I'll die before you. You'll be surprised. You'll be surprised in this world. I thought that when I see these people, they thought I would die when they had me be the father. He would die soon. You wait and see. We shall see who would die first. So I said Fanta. Then he said ice water. I said why? He's thinking about his heart, he's preserving his health. I said, hey, make sure we don't die before the rest of us who are drinking Coca-Cola die. Otherwise we will be crying at your funeral. But we will laugh #7 it's a secondary job. Being a shepherd is being elevated above a secondary job. Number 8, being a shepherd is being elevated above the rank of a mediocre job. Number 9, being a shepherd is being elevated above an average job. And #10 being a shepherd is being elevated above the rank of a commonplace job. Commonplace. It's common to be a typist. Amen. It's common to be a receptionist, it's common to work in the bank, but it's not common to be a shepherd. Shepherd are going to have crown of glory. I said. Shepherds are going to have crown of glory. Glory I got. I said glory I got. What time do they release the resident leopard? They come in the in the night. OK, I'll give you a break very soon now #11 Being a shepherd is being elevated above the rank of an undistinguished job. Undistinguished job. You know, when you are not called to do something, you don't like it anymore. People, you see, people think it's a prestigious about, you are not impressed. Amen. You know it's prestigious, but you're not impressed. Pastor Obi is much higher today, shepherding those of you in Kenya than he was selling houses or renting houses, collecting rent. He was a rent collector. It's a commonplace job, substandard second rate housing, refugees. Most of the people he was housing were refugees from Afghanistan, from Romania, China. These are the people that he was housing. That's to go and face a plumbers call a plumber to come and face the washing machine, chase electrician to come change the carpet. Do these are the job that he was doing. Allow me to magnify my office. It is my job. Hey mochi. I was transferred to the mochi my job after housemanship. I was asked to go to the much I was. Amen #12 how many do you have? 11-12 It is being elevated above the rank of an ordinary job. Ordinary water. OK, It's being elevated above an unexceptional job. Amen. And then #14 being a shepherd is being elevated above a job that is not noteworthy. Is not. It is not noteworthy, Amen. It's not. And the last one, being a shepherd is being elevated above the rank of a dull job. It's a dull job. It's exciting to be a shepherd. Amen. 7 reasons why a shepherd's job is a high-ranking job. Number 17 reasons why shepherding is a high-ranking job #1 sharp at it. Before I give you that, sing it for me quickly something. How many do that? God loves you for elevating you above your low ranking, second rate, substandard, undistinguish average, not noteworthy, mediocre, substandard on exceptional ordinary job. He loves you.
