07. Types Of Shepherding Relationships 4

Welcome to Track. #7 of the powers of a cross, the next one, head and body, head and body relationship. It's another type of relationship. And he is before all things. So you must think about the church, think about how to make it better, think about how to lead them better, how to have a better church with a screen, with a projector, how to make a website of your little congregation, how to invite them, how to add better, how to have a program. Some of us shepherds, we are not thinking. Our minds are not on the church. But when your mind is on the church, you get it. When your mind is on the church, it goes better. My mind is always on the church. Even though I'm now an evangelist, my mind is always on the church in Singapore. My mind is on the church. Do this, this, this, this, text, call, phone, this person, that thing, this issue, that. Zambia, this Guyana. I was in Singapore thinking about Guyana, Zambia here, here a crab, Ghana, Tamali Aburi, this so many. My mind is on the chest, the head is thinking, Are you thinking about your congregation? I'm asking you a question. Are you thinking about your congregation? You say even that's what I'm telling you that like these three goals, Good Shepherd, great shepherd, chief shepherd. I don't care what job you are doing, still have the mind to be a Good Shepherd, a great shepherd and a chief shepherd, Good Shepherd, Great Shepherd, Chief shepherd. Have a mind to be a great shepherd. What you are doing to it, to the extreme, to the end, to the last point, to the highest level you can possibly take it. Amen, Amen. Think about it, think, put your heart in the tank. It will work. God will bless you. It will work to go bedtime, bedtime, but you'll be surprised as your heart survives it. When I drive around in Ghana, you can see that nobody's mind is on it. Yeah, you see the roads, you see the place, you see the traffic, and you can see nobody cares. Nobody's mind is there. That's the sad thing when you go about Africa. That's why the guys are bombing things in, in Nigeria, bombing the pipeline because they they know for sure by now, since Nigeria discovered all that nobody cares about them. Nobody's mind is on those people, that those people deserve to have a city with skyscrapers and with accommodation. They deserve to have a better life at school, universities and other than but nobody cared. They have left them in their squallow in the swamps and in the in the forest and mosquitoes. They've left them to die and they know, they know, they know. They have seen all these wicked heads of state. They have come and gone and they have squandered, become millionaire. You see their children in London and America, car speaking British accent, going to school abroad and so on. And each of them have got thousands and millions in their bank accounts. One time I was driving with some Nigerian person, yeah, about 20 something, I'm sure she must have been about 20 were driving by a place, were driving some very posh car. And as she drove by, she said, should I come and buy this bench tomorrow, next week? Should I come and buy the benzos that dosage 20,000, which will be now about 100,000 lbs? Should I come and buy this thing? Should I change that? I've been thinking I should change that I should buy that one or not. Just like that. This money, money. Where did they get all this money from? And the guys are there, they know nobody's thinking about them. And that's why they are going down, down, down. That's why they are fighting for themselves. And that's what happened to your congregation. When they see you don't think about them. You can't say let's go to another church where they think about the members. The church that I came from, Singapore, yesterday, they did rice distribution because the price of rice has gone up. They bought rice for everybody. And yes, they bought rice and it's all the all poor people are registered. Singapore. If you don't flash the toilet, can you? If you pay $500, you go to public toy, don't flash it. You must be joking, can you? And they came to remove your trousers and they came you here in a way that it will never go away and you cannot sit down. Yeah. So all the poor are registered. They give them they give them rice. Throughout the convention, they didn't take offerings. They gave them food. I said, I've never been to a church where they didn't take off. And he said, oh, we know our people. We don't want them to whatever we want. You know, we don't want to feel that we're giving them rice, so we are charging them. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, well, my people said almost everybody in the church pays tights. It's a very prosperous church. I mean, what am I saying? I'm saying that the pastor is thinking about the something about them. I'm just trying to show you that the pastor is thinking about the people. So don't worry Sunday. They'll keep offering, that's all. I'm just showing you that pastor is doing what? Thinking. Yeah, the head is thinking. Thinking. And what? Leading. It's leading. Leading. What do you think? Yeah, it's thinking and leading. If you think about what you are doing, you see that it will be a better work. The thing you are doing will be better. But you can see when you go to some church, you see that they are not even thinking about what they are doing. You can see that they are not thinking. Are you surprised that they go to another church? Are you surprised that it's not growing? You have to think about it. Think of what about the time that we are the time? Can there be a better time? Can there be a better hall? Can there be a cheaper hall? Cheaper, better. I don't know. A better location, a better place. So sometimes we don't care. Oh, even if it's that, as I know the church has money can pay, church can pay. Damn mind that when you are thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking, thinking and not just do things are you there? Are you there head and body? How many types of relationships do you have? 7 Vine and branches. I am the vine, you are the branches. Is it not a relationship that Jesus had with his church? Yeah, this type of relationship is what? Deep connection. Deep. How do you describe it? What do you say when you are connected? Interconnection. Are you connected to your members? You can be connected to your members. Amen. All right. You must be connected. You know, it will be difficult for us to pat some of us because we are interconnected. One time one guy was leaving and I was thinking to myself that this guy, he does not know what he's doing. Everybody in his life is connected through the church. If you leave the church now, Pastor Peter, you not even have a friend in the world. Even just ordinary friendship will be gone. That, that, that shows you that the church's relationship have become interconnected, that you, you become cocoa when you remove a vine or a branch. I mean, you, you, you disconnect from everything you are and you have. So you must develop your church in such a way that there's so much interconnection that I mean, they eventually need you to exist. I mean, they need everybody in the church. You get your house from here, your food comes from here. Your friend is here. You do this here. And you see it when people are getting married, how connected they are to the church. As soon as you see somebody who's getting married in the church, the best man is from somewhere, the maid of honor is from another church, you immediately know this person is not well connected in the church. It's a sausage. Swallow it quickly. It shows that the person is not deep, well connected. But when the person is well connected, my wife is not deeply connected, even when they're having their birthday party. When you attend the party, say, ah, who are these? Who are these? This person from here, this person from here, this person from here, this person. Because if you are deeply connected, if I am in this church, I'm going to have a party and I'm making a cake. I'll let Bussola make my cake for me. The cake maker that I know is Bussola. She makes cake. If you are having a cake and you have the money to make a special cake, she's the best cake maker. That she has to visit him before he finishes the school because she said she's promising that she will visit him, travel to where he is in school and visit and come this very connected. The children's friends are my pastors friends is connected. So look in your church and when you see all the disjointed, unconnected people moving around, you know that your church, you know you have not developed the Vine branch relationship very well. Yeah, that's how a church is. Everything is in the church. Your husband to be this way in the church, in the church, your wife to be is where the church, when you travel from here to another town or another place, which side you go to, you can't just flow in the church. Are you there? So the church is a very strong thing that must be deeply connected shepherds. All right, I hope I'm talking to the right group. I all of you into are you into shepherding and so on. Are these people into shepherding or I'm talking to the wrong group of people? All right, husband, man and vineyard. And I will lay it waste, and it shall not be pruned nor digged. And I will command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. Mercy, husband, man and vineyard. Your church and your congregation are like a vineyard that you are working on that you will RIP from. I RIP from my congregation. I'm blessed with my congregation. It's from my own congregation that I've got people to work with me. I have somebody who's singing my own personal singer for my own congregation. I'm blessed. How many people have got such a singer? Yeah, all the people that went there, all for my congregation. Amen. What do you think? So you work on it and sometimes it pricks you. Everybody wants ready made. There's nothing ready made. You can't just have things. You can't just be me. Do you understand? You can't just become me. You have to work on the vineyard. So this shows you a relationship in which you are working on somebody. Amen. So if you want people to be perfect, you get it. It's not going to work because every relationship in your church, you have to even show them how to talk. You have to say this is how to make announcements. This is how to lead worship. 11 time I was talking to a lady. She was preaching. She screamed. After I called, I said listen, don't shriek. Do you? Do you know what shriek is? What does it mean to shriek? It sounds. It's not appealing. If you're a lady and preaching, you've got a very shrill or high voice. Don't have to. So you have to work if you want to have some of you don't have assistance. One of the sad things I know is that many of my pastors don't have any assistance and they say, oh, how do you get all these people? One day I went for a crusade in a certain town and the Methodist Church there, they really got involved in the crusade. And after somebody who was very high in the Methodist Church was came back and was telling me they were the people were discussing after we left that they said if the Methodist Church will have two of Pastor Prince 2, the whole church will change. If they will have such a such a person, just two, the whole church will change. The whole Methodist Church will change. Yeah, Do you, do you understand? What I'm trying to say is that the people are saying so it's a very good person. Why do you get such a person? Yeah, you see, But all people who are gotten, they don't just drop out of the sea. You, you work on the person. You prune. Yes, you grow and you'll be we are cutting this place till they come in your head. Cut, cut, cut, cut. No, this place is not good. Come, let's cut. Especially anybody who works with you personal. The person has to adjust a lot of things, otherwise you cannot work. If allow the person to come close to you and the person will say something away that sends a message. And when the message comes, you wonder what kind of problem. Come to your house. And then they say one day I went to a restaurant to eat. I went with some people. As I sat at the restaurant, they sat the sat the side. Then I look at them and I said, what food do you like? What food do you like? I said, tell the truth. The food here, you don't like you, you, you don't like such food. Arise, go. I said, tell the truth. They said, it is true. It is true. If you are somebody who likes food at the same time you must eat. Yeah, you. If you don't eat, it's also not how to behave, Are you there? So pruning, pruning, all these are how to. One of my singers, Pastoco, the youth, he said to me the first time I ever sang ever, ever, ever on my own was when you asked me to sing in church. I was not AI always thought he was a singer, but I, I, I said that was the first time I ever sang. That was when you asked me to sing. The people are waiting for you to ask them to sing. When I started the church in Geneva, I didn't know who could do what. So I asked a lady. I said lead worship. So she came to lead. I said no, this one, I didn't take it to work. So I asked another lady to lead the worship and she like that. I said no, this one is better. So I had a difficult time. I said I thought you know something, you do announcements. Announcement will be better for you. Announcement will be better for you than leading worship, you know. Yes, announcements, because I didn't know. But you see, you cannot have somebody unless you turn it upside down. You have to form it. The forming of The thing is the doing of the thing. What do you think? Why don't you have a good youth group? Why don't you have a good choir? You have not formed it. Part of the this is what is to form it. Try them out. Let them say, don't let them come. Say come. These are not, I mean, what we teach on Sundays and the things I'm preaching here even when we are preparing radio, but it's very difficult to put a camp on the radio because what I see are the camp. We don't. It's just a camp. That's why I'm telling you all these things, huh? Yeah, it's just for your consumption. You can enjoy. You can enjoy it at home. And of course, this one also, it comes in at a bomb by positive. People must be encouraged. People are down, must be encouraged with a lot of positive messages that give hope. That's the jewel of steam. It gives a lot of hope. Yeah. Are you there? So a start. That is a camp. That's why we are coming to talk about the powers of a cross. Not the cross. A cross, Your cross. What do you think? All right, So, Captain Army, there is a time when you need to leave your church like an army is being led. And when that time comes, if you fail to rise up and leave them with strength, you cannot. Many times I've had to leave the church with strength to March forward. Let's go. Other times you wear the connectors cap, the the vineyard, the vine and the and the branches. It depends on what it's like. I'm a doctor that times I put on my doctor's cap and I do doctor's things and I take it off and then I put on my shepherduria cap so that I'm a father. One time somebody saw me. I didn't tell her that but it was in my mind What are you bath? What are you even bath? Let's compare how many times you bath and how many times I bath and see bathing competition. So a shepherd has many caps. Put on this cap husband, father, friend, pastor, doctor, shepherd, Captain Vinya, Pruna, this whatever. But you have to know how to flow when it's time to put on, then you put on, then you wet after I take off and you put on the next one. But some of us out. What can I say something to me? But Bishop Eddie and Bishop, when I needed to work with other people, I made them my friends. They are my friends. When you sit, you are relaxing. You can talk or even something that is worrying you. You can say yeah, and you need friends. Now, it is a very amazing thing that the word that was used in this Scripture also means to shepherd and to pasta in the Hebrew. Yeah, I was amazed to find out it comes from the Hebrew word Rhea, Rhea Rea, which means right. And to tend the flock. To tend a flock comes from the word RAAH. Do you understand RAAH? And it means to tend the flock in Hebrew RAAH, it means, all right, to associate with someone as a friend. It's one of the ways you pastor people is to make them your friends. Amen. Are you friendly? Do you have friends? Many women are lonely and have no friends. Gina, do you have friends? Many people are lonely. They have no friends. And I could, I could mention some names and it would even surprise you that they don't have friends because they look like they have friends. Everybody talks to them, but they have no friends. Everybody talks about actually, they have no friend. They chat, they move around, but they are alone when it comes to this, just them that you can't talk freely. What's worrying you? This, that I've got a problem. This, this, that True, true blue. So ladies and gentlemen, what I am saying is that we need to develop the ability to be friends with people. Break out of the master posture, the captain posture, the big man, the everything and breakdown to become friend. Now are you there? Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. Are you there? I should have put it earlier because it's actually the main reason for this topic. Is the last point the Hebrew word RA, to befriend somebody? Yeah. Making friends with people should become one of your top. I might say again, you have to make friends. At the same time be a shepherd. Are you there? Be relaxed, be friendly, but at the same time you are the shepherd. What do you think? Is it a good idea? Amen. What do you think? One day I went to a church and the church wasn't working. So I had a meeting with the pastors and one of the pastors pointed out to one of the other pastors who was there earlier. All he said was one thing, but he described it in a particular way which I never forgot. He said that he said to the other pastor with whom the church had been with for some time, the church wasn't working. He said you are not engaging the people. You are not engaging their lives. To pastor people, you must engage their lives. What do you think? Yeah, if you don't get into the lives of people, you can't pastor them. So if you are sent out as a missionary, you can't. One time someone on my mission said he was, he was sent to. One guy said these people are somewhere. Bishop, you don't know these people. You don't talk like that about people that you have been sent to. I remember one time Pastor Kakra, Prophet Kakra, he said to me something. He said, he said that he was, he was talking to me about Kumasi because he is a fancy but the people in Kumasi are Ashantis. And he said that one time after he had passed the church for a long time, the church was not working to a certain extent. He said he either had some experience or something. And God put in his heart a laugh for the people. You have to love the people that you are called to. I will say that for all the people of the world. I will say that the the people that I think I love most are Ghanaians. I have a feeling for Ghana because this is my country and it's where I've been sent to. I'm building hundreds of churches in the country. Before I die, I hope God will give me life. Who will fill the country? I'll fill it with churches. I do understand. Fail. You can't fail to see a church when you drive. Oh, yeah. Corner to corner. We're just in Hafasini at the end of Ghana. 2 kilometers to the border. 2, just two. You can't even walk. We are building a church there. Foundation is coming up. Yeah. Will you join me for that vision before we die? The whole country and other countries as well, like the grace of God. All the countries that we go, we try to get our own building. This year alone, we've bought a building in Jamaica and we bought a building in Guyana. What do you think? Is it a good thing?
