Coming again. Hallelujah #5 love. We talked about hope yesterday, we talked about faith, and now we are talking about love. And then we will talk about first love, which is a completely different thing now. Love does not act unbecomingly. Amen. That is what I have in verse 5, isn't it? What does yours say does not behave itself unseemly? OK, that's Old English, so you may not get the revelation. But what he's saying is that unbecoming, unbecoming. What does unbecoming mean? Come read. What does it say if? You describe. If you describe things such as clothes as unbecoming, you mean that You mean that they look unattractive? Old fashioned then. Next. One, if you describe a person's behavior or remarks as unbecoming, you mean that they are shocking and unsuitable for that person into bracket formal. Shocking and unsuitable for that person, OK. Unsuitable, so there is suitable. When you say it's not suitable, it means that it's not appropriate, you see. So in the ministry, if you want to work for the Lord, we have the protocols for everything that you do. Isn't it OK? Now, for instance, if you're going to see the Pope, they would tell you don't shake his hand, don't try to touch him, put your hand on him or hug him. You know, Benny Hinn was describing what he was told when he was going to see the Pope. One time I was listening to him preaching when he went to visit the Pope. He was told don't touch him, don't try to hold him, don't hug him, don't shake his hand, don't pat his. You know, President Bush, he like tapping people at the back. You guys are doing a great job. Yeah, you want to tap the poop at the back and say you guys are doing a great job. Hey, so there is a behaviour that is unbecoming. It's not suitable, OK? It's inappropriate in that context, but maybe in another context it's appropriate. OK, so when you come into the ministry, like some of you come from other churches and became part of Aloos, you have to learn what is done in a particular place and what is appropriate. You get it in order to fit in, you get it and sometimes it may not be what you are used to, but you have to learn it so that you become becoming and suitable because you cannot be a pastor in Lighthouse if you don't adapt to certain things. We don't like certain things around. You get it? Yes. And then we want you to do things in a particular way, you see? Yeah. So when you when you go to Methodist, they also have a way. Every church has a way. We call it the culture of the house or the philosophy of the house. So in the book of called the Mega Church, we call it what it means to catch the spirit of the ministry. You see, it means to adapt and catch the philosophy of the house, the attitudes, the doctrines, the beliefs, the culture, the way things are done here. OK, we are not the best church that one there. We are sure about it and we also know many other good churches which we are always trying to learn something from. There is no doubt about it, every time I go and visit the church, even when the church is smaller than our church, I always learn something from that church. Anything that we do or have, I can show you a church that I learnt it from. Yeah, because God uses all of us and He does not put every wisdom in one person and every great person is flawed and hassle is errors of problems. And that's how we all you get it. It's all part of God's grace to make us humble. Yes, you see, so you need to learn how to behave in a becoming way when you are part of what we are doing here. Amen. So that God can use you properly. Amen. OK, So for instance, we have camps. You need to be part of a camp. Because when you are not part of a camp, you will never understand certain things. Harmony. And I agree with what I'm saying. Yeah, you will never understand certain things. Even though you come to the church on Sundays in the morning, you will never understand anything unless you come to a camp. You see, now our camps are a little different. It's not the best camp. I'm sure there are better camps, but our camp doesn't have a starting stopping with there are three sessions. The morning is from 8:00 to 10:00, the afternoon is 2 to four, and then the evening is 7:00 to 9:00. We don't have it that way. Uh huh. Do you understand? It's a little different. We just have it till we finish. Now you need to learn it, you see, and that's love. Love is I'm I'm part of you. So since I'm part, I'm going to adjust myself to be to be suitable. Many of us here, even in our houses, we like being naked. But there are people, you see them moving around in the house. They, they, they they are more than Adam and Eve. Yeah. How many know some people like that? Not you, but you know, some people like that. Yeah. And, and some of the and some of the ladies you see here looking very dignified, they are more than Eve. I mean, they are naked at home. Nakedness is even they are very comfortable with nakedness. You see. No, we are not against that. But the point is that it's not suitable in the camp or in the church. You get it. It doesn't fit. Now, if if you do that, you see you are going to have difficulties here. So I'm just explaining that this thing, you may see them as little things, but it's enough to make us divorce. It's enough to make us go our separate ways. You may see it as a small thing, but if you don't adjust yourself to that thing, that the same casually that Charlene, what do this you see you? You, you think there's nothing. If I want pastor when he traveled to some countries to preach in our churches and he was telling me, he said, hey, when I got to I think Tanzania and I, I sat in the car from the airport in this park. No, your tip was playing. Then he went to Kenya. Then the tip was on. And then to another country then and it's like he said, I learned something from that. He said You are not there, but your voice is there and you are ministering and the people are receiving and they are throwing in a certain mine different, different, different countries, branches. And then it's going, it's on. Yeah. Do you see? No, you may not know. That's what I'm saying, that it's the the difference, the main difference. You see, God touched my heart about a year ago. I was watching a film and I saw they were showing the different they they brought a child four years old and then a chimpanzee 4 years from a three-year point the same age, you see, and they will give the child in a, in a room like this, there's a glass here and glass here and you see the child is here and the chimpanzee is here. 2 exactly the same and very similar. They will give the child something to do and they'll give the chimpanzee the same thing. And you will see that disable, but it reaches somewhere, you see that it's, it's left the chimpanzee out. It's not able to do it. You see now there's so much similarity. This is why people have really believed. That we come from monkeys, that we are a development, you see of of monkeys. And if you've ever watched that film, The Planet of the Apes, which 11 camp, I will show you that film just for you to see you see that. There are some basic. Differences you see and and one of them is what I told you yesterday and I'll tell you another one today. One of the one I told you yesterday is the passing on of the information you see. That is what you cannot see, that one monkey will gather 16 monkeys to teach them how to make Spears, so that the knowledge in me comes. To you and you can see in. Animals an attempt to do that. You remain in a state so backward that you are ruled and dominated by the forces. You see, in Ghana we are ruled and dominated by the forces. You see one of the main difference between the monkeys and human beings. Human beings have tried to gain some kind of control over life and over their own lives. You see that animals don't have any control. Whatever happens is what happens, but a human being has. Gained some. Kind of control. That if it. Rains today we have we overcome the rain by having created a roof so we can be in the rain and do what we want to do. We've thought about things and learned too much. I can speak. Here and you are hearing it at the back, do you get it? So, but for the animals, there is no control at all. What there is, is what there is and they've not learnt anything extra. And if you look at Africans, like in Ghana, if there's tomatoes we have not gained control over, when it rains and there's tomatoes, it comes. And then that is it. And when it's finished, it's gone because in Europe nobody will sell it like that. There's nothing like that. All our tomatoes get spoiled. You know, we cannot eat it because we have been, you know, just to get the information and develop and have thin tomatoes or whatever from Ghana that we don't need anybody else. We cannot. Put ourselves together to do such things. It's, it's a really fantastic thing you see. And so human beings become more and more like animals. You see more and more not in control of anything, the less and less knowledge and information they have. It's true, we have a lot of tomatoes, these that all get spoiled because they're just. There knowledge doesn't. Come to us. So it is unsuitable and it is something. That can make us divorce if you do not expose yourself to the machaner and not just to own it, because owning, owning it, it can become like you just own it, but you don't listen, you see. And whenever I see people who don't listen to tapes, like a lot of you here, I always know. I even feel it in the spirit. It doesn't work here. It's unbecoming, it's unsuitable. I'm talking about unsuitable characteristics and behaviour that need serious change to be suitable for the system. One of the unsuitable characteristics for a missionary or for somebody who is being sent to do the work of God is lack of communication. It's highly unsuitable. Yes, it's highly unsuitable. You get it. Highly unsuitable and you see people, you get it, you see them and they want to be whatever. Meanwhile, one of the basic qualifications you see that you have or that you don't have is communication skills. It's unsuitable and you become you. You become unsuitable and most of you are you all elders. You are elder of where are you the chief elder that I don't even know you. You say you are chief elder. You see by your your character, your behavior is unsuitable. And you are Chief Elder of where? Legon. I don't even know your name. Your name is What is your name? Jacob, Sit down. You see the suitability is not standing up to say my name is Jacob. That one is like maybe in Ghana, respect whatever you stand up and you those are here. You see, there's something else that makes you suitable and one of them is communication, you see. And it's that lack and deficiency. You see, that differentiates us. Is it one of the, I'll tell you, the other main difference between a monkey and a human being? It's what you see in a film, is that they do not communicate. Yeah. But I think the best for which I will recommend to all of you, it's that film The Planet of the Apes, because in that film human beings are apes and apes are human beings. And the main thing that happens in that film you get it is one thing, which is that. Apes talk. And human beings don't talk. How many have watched that film before? Oh, you should see it. It's very, very interesting. They came from outer space and when they landed on Earth, it was 2000 from year, thousands of years later, and that era, human beings had become apes. They were just human. Beings. So they used to catch them, they used to hunt them in the forest and the apes, they had guns and they were driving cars and doing things and, and they catch them, put them in the cage and they were doing experiments with them. They would bring a female for them to mate, all kinds of things. It's just fantastic. And the only thing was that these people don't talk and these people talk. That that was it. So one of them came from outer space and he landed his aircraft there. He had come from whatever and he could talk. So that a talking. Human. He became a maid. I mean, how can a human talk? I got a human talk. Do you get it? Yeah, I got a human talk. So that's it. The main thing is talking. So when you do not communicate, you are not a suitable person. Now, if you take Aki, he was a good pastor with us here in Accra, you see. But when you go to Brazil, do you see? You, you have to communicate and you and, and the is it the, the the burden of communication is on the pursuer. It's it's not. On me a roll account. How many? 122 new messages. You cannot help the person. You cannot provoke him or her. You are sitting there telling her since yesterday I have to have to check this out. I read so many messages and cleared them all out. Some of them I sent replies to myself until all my units got finished. I was I had no units, but all my units got replying. Wow. Hello. Great, good, super nice. I still when I when I came, there was no, I had no time. I've cleared everybody as I was preaching and the text were coming more. Do you understand? So what I'm trying to say is that the burden of pursuing of the of communication is on the pursuer. It's you. You have a problem. Yeah. And if I don't mind you, that's your problem. It's part of the things you have to learn. You have nobody. Why? What is your problem? Yes. I mean, sit in your corner and I said who you are? You are nothing. What? What again do you want? Is it arrogance and pride? What are you and who are you? If you go to other churches and see what I really know, the pastor's number, Who are you? I've said the text and he only answered. I said, wow, OK, I've actually had somebody leaving the church because I said I said the answer, OK, I've actually seen somebody leave full time ministry. That was one of his foundational pillars on which the three steps that he took to go out. It was one of the pillars that he stood out to move. So you guys are behaving like minkeys because you are quiet and I know you. Is it? I beg you, We look and get the film, we look at the film. Go and see whether you are in the film when you see them. The human beings do that, like that they do everything, only they don't speak. Only they don't speak. It's a major deficiency that you can have. Yeah. There's one thing that will differentiate you from an animal. If you think about plants, this that actually in even life is defined by communication. Something that communicates is said to have life. So we talk of lower forms of life. Higher forms of life, the lowest form of life like amoeba, plant life and so on. Then as from plants communicate very little, then you come to animals which communicated. Higher and higher you see animals communicate till you get to some animals which seem to be communicating even more. This work work in teams. They do this they do. They seem to have some intelligence, but the only creature that communicates speaks and says. Things is the human being even that our communication, I believe, is even greatly diminished since the fall. Yes, because God communicates through dreams, visions, because one picture is worth 1000 words. Sometimes you just see a picture and then it's a message. Yeah. So many things that you have said and, well, do this, do this, do this, do this. You just show you a picture of it. You can show you a picture of a crusade. And finally, you know you are supposed to be in a crusade. It means organize this, get this, get a crusade director, get this, buy equipment. So instead of writing the list of things that you need to get all the things that just a picture of a crusade is like, suddenly. You know all the so many things we are supposed to do about 200 things. The people you must employ, the office you must get, how you must do this fundraising. Make partners. This is just show you a picture of a crusade or a picture of you putting it at a crusade. Suddenly you just have, I mean, instructions, like a booklet even tells you who you should listen to. Who are the other evangelists who have been at a big crusader? That's OK #1 #2. 3. People to follow. Here's a picture. So it's the higher form of communication, even higher than our words. And our words are so fraught with misunderstanding. So I may say something and then you don't understand it. Well, that is what also bring up a lot of problems. You don't understand when I say this and you are hurt or you are some way or you develop an attitude. So your attitude has. Come, you know, attitude, the person has a posture. It's like it stands. It's like I'm not saying anything, but I mean, I'm also saying what I'm not saying by not saying it. Those are the attitude that replace the charm. Are you there? So, my dear friends, what we are saying this morning is that love does not behave in an unbecoming, unsuitable way. As far as we are concerned, you need to become a mechanic trainee. When I see you on the road, I don't. Even know you who you are, I don't know you. When I see you in the road, I don't know you. Who are you? So I'm the chief. Hey, but we have 64 elders who? Yeah, one out of 64 Battalion. So it is a condition of flowing, especially on the mission. All the missionaries who we sent who didn't have this failed. Yeah, all of them failed. All. You say that how we lower our life value by reducing the communication flow. We lower ourselves greatly to another species. Yes. I can. And others who have been elders. I know them, you see. I know them by you. I don't know. And I have capacity. My my my my my my hard. Drive in there. Has some space, enough space to know people who make themselves move. It's true, smiling sheepishly. Pastors who don't no loyalty and disloyalty. If you know loyalty, you never. That's when people want to carry my Bible and say, look, stop all those things. Let us be real. That's not how people are, is all of you. Smiling, nodding and flowing. Especially the lady. Smiling, nodding, flowing. Italy agreeing, not disagreeing, flowing, smiling. Let us come to the real behaviour that when your manifestations come, the attitude comes. You see the head as bent as the shoulders have lifted in a way some something. You don't understand what I'm saying. You, you to be behave in a becoming fashion which is not unbecoming. You must decide to not be a minty. Look me when I was in medical school, I saw it. You see head of one of those, I said medical school. It did not keep me from the ministry. It has rather prepared me for the ministry because to me, anybody who has gone to Ghana medical school, I tell you, the person is ready if you pass. Really. The person is ready for many things. Yeah, it's a very difficult school, you see. And one of the things we were told our professors, one of the things we learned was. Pass the exam. After you become a doctor, if you don't pass the exam, you can never be a doctor. Yeah, it's hurdles and challenges and obstacles that are set before you. You have to overcome them. Yeah, whatever strategies are needed. To. Overcome apart from cheating, that's not a strategy, we use it and overcome exams are hurdles that are placed before. Well, have you ever wondered why we learned so many things which we don't need? It's it's, it's not that. Particular subject to, but it's something that's put before. It's like how you see the chimpanzee here and the human being, they give him some blocks, a triangle with a space. The hole inside is a triangle and they've got a ball and a triangle. And you'll see whether you take the triangle and put it in the triangle hole and then a ball and put it in the round hole. And you see the the little child who is 6 years or five years older would take the triangle, struggle with it a bit and then put it in. And if you take the round one, struggle with it and put it in and you see that chimpanzee. One hour is gone by, I'm telling you. You see that there's something just a little different up there. It's very wild though, and, and what is it? You see that the problem that was put before this one, this one could not solve it and the problem that was put before this one, this one could solve it. That's why the reward is in heaven is because you have overcome what you overcame this, you overcame this, you overcame this, you overcame. Blessed is he that overcome it. He shall do this just like God puts things there. Unrelated though, so that you ask yourself what's the relation between this problem and my ministry instead challenge and the confusion that. God placed before you. To overcome. If you can overcome it, then you start going higher and when you can't overcome one hour, trying to see why the round does not go through the square. And you are not getting it. It shows that you are below. So now if there's a problem of communicating so that you will be known and you'll be known as you are, and you can't overcome that. Problem. Then you have to be like you are a chimpanzee. It's a chimpanzee, This one is a human. But it's just a problem that has to be overcome. Yeah, it's a problem. And it has to be overcome and it's one of the problems. And there will be more problem, problem with your marriage, problem with your home, problem with your children, different situation, financial problems, problems of survival, problems in the language, culture, different things, all these different problems. 1 by 1 you will be put there, your colleague will be in another room, you will be in a room and you and God is watching which can you overcome this problem? And you see that you don't, you're not able to overcome it. So this is that's why I said that it's like, it's not like something that's written in the Bible, but under this phrase, love does not behave itself. In an unbecoming manner. It shows you that there are some unsuitable things and I'm talking about unsuitable conduct and unsuitable conduct includes not communicating, not listening to the machete, which you are not receiving the information that is coming, which means you still. Stay at the monkey level, and this second one, not communicating, makes you equally. Stay in the monkey and you will see it in the Planet of the Apes. You'll be left out as you go. And so sometimes you see some people, we send them on the mission field. Complaining, complaining. They cannot do anything. They cannot make everything difficult. It's hard. Roman, we want to come back to Ghana. This is the irritable, irritated, discontented, always attitude. And then you see a husband who cannot control the wife. Every husband must learn what we call brinkmanship. Brinkmanship. See, when you learn the act of negotiation, there is something called brinkmanship, where you bring things to the brink. Yeah, you come to the brink. If you do this, you all fall. If you do this, this will happen, and that's the end. Yeah, it's called brinkmanship. There you are. There. They are just misleading you. You must know how to go to the brink. The last time you take this step, we are all that's the end. We are all dead. Then everybody retreats. You want us all to die? OK, then let's go back. Back. Are you ready? You change your mind. OK. You go down from there. OK? That's what we call brinkmanship. Yeah. Between the Russians and Americans, they used brinkmanship the last time. I know they used brinkmanship when they almost started a nuclear war, when Russia came to put nuclear weapons in Cuba to come and point at America and they almost attended nuclear war. So America sent his ship there, this one sent his ship there. They were just about to meet and start and then they they, they turn back 19. Whatever brinkmanship you say, you call yourself a man.
