13. 7 Foundations - Nearness To God 1

Welcome to track #13 of mighty foundations. All right, Psalm 65. Are you there? That's one. What does it say? There will be silence before you and praise in Zion, O God, and to you the vow will be performed. O you who hear prayer, to you all men come. Iniquities prevail against me. As for our transgressions, you forgive them. How blessed is the one whom you choose and bring near to you. Amen. Now that's Richard. Explain that best to them. Well, So what does the verse say? Now it says there will be silence before you and praise in Zion. Oh God. And to you the vow will be performed. Amen. One of the very important things is that. There's a certain respect before God, you know, sometimes. If you respect someone even and you are, you are with a person in a car. And the car is going, you know, and then you you answer the phone and it's an important person. You are talking, OK. I mean, you can't do that. If there's somebody of accepting whatever in the car with you, you just I'll call you back or even you don't answer the phone. Is it true or it's not true? Yeah. So when he says there will be silence before you is Speaking of the kind of respect. And at this time what we are trying to instail is. A kind of. Respect for God, a respect for the Church, a respect for his servants, a respect for God's things and the church things more. Than the work things and more than the Swiss. Rules. And the Swiss culture, God is greater than Switzerland. Can I have an Amen? And Switzerland is not Switzerland is not God. Are you God? Yeah, you are not God. One day, one. Promises must be made to God. Amen. And many of us at this camp have promised to do certain things. We have promised to be of a certain attitude, a certain behaviour, a certain. Flow. Amen. And the Bible says to you, the fire will be performed. Some of you have promised to go to Paris. Some of you have promised to go to Germany. Some of you have promised to be faithful, you, to be loyal, to have remembrance in you. Is it not true? And the Bible says to you, the vow will be performed. We have to perform the vows that we have made to God. I want to serve God. Till I die. How many also want to serve God till you die? Oh. If I die. Before you, I want you to stand by my grave one day and say he served God to the end you. Try and if you die. Before me, I want to stand by your grave one day. And I will cry only because I had to say bye bye to you for a short while. But I'll know that you serve God. You serve God to the end. You know, recently some process here wrote a letter to me asking me for percentages from their offerings in the church. Now. Idiotic. Now, Pastor Charles Bannerman, who died, he was one of the pastors that these people tried to get him to sign that letter. To Is it not true, Isaac? Is it not true? Yeah. They tried to get him to sign that we we. We the undersigned. We are saying this, this, this, this, this. We are spent our money. We want money for this, this, this percentage after The thing is paid and all kinds of things. And they try. Is it now, Charles? Charles is special, you see. He's special to me. All the time. I come to Switzerland and whatever for me, I can remember what you did for me because I didn't know anybody in Zurich. But I knew Charles and I knew him very slightly, but I knew him enough and he helped. He helped. I'll never forget him for that. And. All of you. Owe that to him and that's what I'm trying to explain of that for me. How if it's only? One thing that you do, you see, but Satan was trying to get him in the last few weeks, the last few weeks, just a few weeks before he actually goes out of this world to undo all the good works that he has done. Yeah. Messi, are you understanding what I'm saying? And that is how I felt when I was at his funeral, that he was he was under pressure from an enemy to just undo all that he has done. You people must be careful. Satan has no respect for your age and for how long you have served court. Yes, no matter how long you've been faithful and whatever. I mean, if you ever want to learn from anybody about never giving up, you may have to learn from the from the devil. It's a good example of of persistence, relentlessness. Never give up on you. Never give up the idea of. Making you fall, never give up the idea of of even it's like you are not too high to challenge because Lucifer challenged God himself. So if Lucifer was able to challenge and I said I will ascend, I will be like the most high. I will sit in the throne of the Most High. Then there is nobody. How senior? How long? How great? How many? Years, you said the Lord, that you will not. Try at that. Level and just before Pastor Charles died, try to pressure him that. No, don't you? See the point that we are making? We are three years in Switzerland. And he said no. Did he not say no? Yeah. He said no, no. Yeah, If he had said no, I would have had. I would have just received a letter from him. I have not accepted in any country. I'm not accepted in any country. I mean, Ghana, they say I'm a white man. I've been so Bruni in school. I suffered so much in school. No, I will not like. And I think that all those things led me to Christ. Because I was so. Hated and I was so ridiculed that it pushed me away from people. Even as a pastor. Many persons, they just see me as some white man in Ghana. I will not lie to you. If it was not true, I will not lie. So I know. What it is like, I don't want. I don't have that at all. And God has shown even if my wife is not, I must be able to marry anybody. Anybody that is a person, that is it. From China to Alaska. I cannot discriminate. I must not and I always use him as a good example. I said, are you, you see this person, This is the best example. The attitude that flew everything. And suddenly so all I want to tell and it that time against me. Stole my whole church. Now look at that. So what I but but for years he was nice, he was great, he was faithful. I never showed any sign. So I want to say something. Never think that Satan has has accepted that you are a good person because me as I'm in the ministry, I'm always under pressure to do bad things. He has not accepted that I'm a Bishop or he doesn't know all those athletes. I don't know you. I know you are. That's whatever. Yeah. Even God. God, he's trying to. Bring God down. Is that I would. Ascend to the Most High and bring. That's the character of Satan. Lack of respect. Many years ago, I learned that Satan's characteristic is lack of respect. The last time I came here, one of one of the. I think it's one of the pastors who I don't know who sent me an anonymous text. Tell Bishop Dad that this, this, this and that and that. Yeah. They don't have any respect. They don't have respect. They're sending me anonymous text. Yeah, and I said whoever you are sending this anonymous text or not. So until you have returned to dust, he sees you as food. Living dust. He likes living dust best fried living dust. So how many are encouraged to know that even the most senior people, Satan is not, has not left them? So when you realize that he has not left you, then you realize that it's not that you are very bad, but Satan has no respect. Amen. Now, Satan, Satan had no respect for Charles Bannerman. That's why he suggested to him just a few days before that. Sign this one too. Sign this one and reverse the goodwill. But rather, Charles told somebody, he told his son before he died. He said, I know when I die, Lighthouse will bury me. That's what. Yeah, he told me. He told me that I know because he knew that he was in a special. There are a lot of people. They know you. I know. You are in a special. Category, you know, may not do much, you may not even be at the camp, but you are in that category. There are people that know how they can be an interesting category. We come before God with silence and respect. There must be respect for God and we must perform our vows, but Satan will never agree that you are the type that is beyond whatever. No, he may go 16 years. Then you see that he wants you to come and reverse. That's why sometimes when. People die, shouldn't be too sad. Oh, so that something was coming. Then God said, look, come out because the Bible says that to whom they left. If those days were not to be shortened, even the elect would not be saved. So sometimes God shortens the days to save you. That's true. Yeah. To from undoing yourself and from being deceived. Are you there or you who hear prayer? To you all men come to you all men come, you see? To you all men do what? Stay away. No, they come, You who hear prayer and you see. This Psalm 65 is something that you must accept to enter your heart, which is that a person who serves God comes, you come. To you men come to you and that is why people who are serving God, they they move, they come to God. That is why this one. Even though he's a chatted accountant he came from. Are we OK that they don't know that To you all men will come. Oh, God, which is in heaven, to you all men will come. Yeah. It's part of the worship of God is coming. Is going to the place where. God is, it's part of it. And that is one of the reasons why I became full time, because to work for God you have to go. Because right now, if I was working at the hospital, I'll still they'll be expecting me this morning and I've been away. For some time. After some time they will sack me. Yeah. This when you go check and send me a text. How many days without notice when you don't come that it means you have been sacked? And whether you can stay away indefinitely. You look after your relatives, and when you are finished, you come, whether you are paid or not, but whether you can come back. To you all men do what? To you all men, To you all men, to you all men, to you all. Men, All men, all men, all men, all men. Always coming. It's a respect to God. Yes, it's a respect. To God, people come to God, it's. Verse 7 it says, For we are consumed by your anger and by your wrath. We have been dismayed. You have placed. Our iniquities before you and our secret sins in the light of your presence because you have put on the torch on my sins. Now how does he know that you have brought up my sins? This is like your sins are there that they brought it or put on the table. It's like this thing is in my pocket and God brings us and put it here. How do I know? For all our days have declined, our days are finished in your fury, and we have finished our years. Like a sigh. Nancy, what he's saying is that I know that you brought up my sins because my days got finished. Suddenly I had no more days left in this life. Your your days were shortened. Instead of having 1010 years more, it became 4 weeks. My days were declined and my years got finished. Instead of living longer, the years got finished. Like a sigh, Forgive and and what caused that? What caused your your years to change? From 19, it came down 38. What caused your years to be finished? Like I said, what caused your days to be declined from 70 to 45? What caused that? He says my sins. You have placed my sins before you, and my secret sins you brought them out into the light of your presence. I know it because form our days have. Finished so that's why. In Psalm. 65 He says My iniquities prevail against me. You, your sins are fighting against you. Your old sins, your currencies, recent ones, the last five years, the last 10 years, the last 20 years, your sins, they are prevailing against you. They want you to wipe out. And whenever your sins come up, your days get finished. Everybody do it. That's the end of your life instead of you living longer, he said. For our days are declined and our years are finished. For you have brought my in my iniquities you have placed before the end my secret. I was saying we have two categories, iniquities and secret sins. Recently I saw somebody on the golf. Course and said. Hello and I shout. I said. May God cover your secret sins. And he became paralyzed. He couldn't play again. He was afraid. I think he thought I have seen some secrets, but I just read this verse. I had just read this verse. It was in my spirit. So when I saw him, I said, May God gather because I. Know that all of us have two categories of sins, our iniquities and our secret sins. How many have done some secret sins? Raise up your hand if you have some secret sins. Iniquities on the right, secret sins on the left. Mercy and and it causes the days to become just decline. Decline means they just become less and your years is. Over before you realize a young person, you are gone. Why? Because your iniquities have been placed before me, and your secret scenes have been brought into the light of your presence. A light had shine on it like that It was oh forgive, how many will I see? That's why the psalmist said your My iniquities are prevailing against me. You can feel the effect of, he says. Even sometimes since of our youth, we can feel that it is affecting us. Back to Psalm 65. Are you dear? The Swiss armies of Israel anointed of Jacob. Are you with verse 3? Let's start from the one. There will be silence. How many are agreeing that there will be respect for God #2 and to you the vow will be performed, promising to God so many things. We are going to keep our promises #3 iniquities. No, verse 2, All you who hear prayer to you all men. Well come, what does your balance say? All flesh, all flesh, Come that mine says to you. How many understand it better now when you say my iniquities are prevailing against me so that your years are getting finished? Your days are reducing. As for our transgressions, you forgive them. Amen. None of us can work for God without forgiveness of. Sins. Amen. Are you there? Yeah. Hallelujah. Amen. None of. Us can work before God, only forgiveness. That's why I want you. I want you to know something. I do not hold any grudge against you. I cannot. You hold a grudge against me? No. Sometimes you meet people and realize they are thinking of something long ago. Meanwhile I'm not thinking about that. I learnt long ago that you cannot hold things in your spirit and do well with God. You have to forget about things. Yeah. Many things which are you are in your hand. To me, they are even jokes. To me it's even a joke. All the things that we have said at the camp. Yeah, all the people are rangos and your taste. I don't have anything. Again, forgive all of them. I rather pity them. I was telling some people, as I said, look, these people, I pity them. There's nothing that you can do, Babu says. There's nothing you can do against the truth. I just pity you because you are just destroying yourself to be a matter of time. You see it practically? Yeah, You see it practically. I just feel sorry for what I was. Somebody was manifesting. I said, look, my problem is I don't want to live in my life. Then later you come and tell Bishop you were right and So what? I was right and So what? You have spoiled your life and I was right. I'm not in. This world to be proved that I'm right, it's of no use to me after you've destroyed yourself. One of these pastors, when he was about to leave, I told him one day he would say, oh Peter, you were right. And I said stop it. I don't need to be proved that I'm right. I don't need to be proved. That Bishop was right. What he said, he came to pass this. No, I don't need that. You are not the one to validate me. And then after your life is destroyed, then you come and you say you are right when your life is finished. One pastor. He manifested against the grace of God. Said let me come back. I said come back, Come back because God always forgives. Amen. Are you there? Yeah, so I said why not come back? Come back. It's a good thing. That's why our transgressions, you forgive them. Amen. Then there's four. How blessed is the one whom you choose and bring near to you. Amen. To dwell in your courts. We will be satisfied. With the goodness of your house, your holy temple, Amen. Now how blessed is the one? Whom you choose, Hallelujah, Is that also How blessed is the one whom you choose? How blessed is the one whom you choose and cause to come near. Now this is one of the very important things that we need as Christians to value is the blessing of having been brought near to the Lord. Amen. That's that's the, that's the great thing. Amen. Now. You have to see. That like I was, I was saying yesterday. Everybody's eye must be trained on the right things. You cannot keep your eyes on wrong, not even that they are wrong things, but which particular thing would you keep your eyes on? Ladies, many times when you ask somebody, have you seen that girl and they said the one who had hair had the braids who have this, who have and so. When they say, I realize that I'm not. Looking at the person's hair, you see, if you have asked me what hairstyle did Vaida do at the camp, I wouldn't look up. But would you remember? You wouldn't remember, you see. Look at it now and see. I I don't remember. But that the ladies remember that because their eyes are trained for such things. But it's it's a ladies affair. If you like, or maybe if somebody's interested, then he may notice it. But I don't honestly, unless I look like now I can see, I can see evidence. Ah, OK. This was OK. So now remember, you get it. Yeah. So you have to ask yourself, what does your eye value? What is your eye value? Now some people. Have their eyes. Trained on the wrong. Thing But what I'm trying to train you to see is that nearness to God, or being brought close to God, being brought close to his servants, being brought close to the anointing is one of the greatest blessings that you can ever have in your life. OK? It is the great blessing. So being fair, it's not a good thing. So when you get a, some of you have had an opportunity to get closer. How many feel that you are closer to me at this camp? You feel that way. Yeah. And that's what the Bible says. How blessed is the man whom God causes to approach him. Although, is that not so? You can feel that you are getting closer. Yeah, you can feel that you are getting closer. Now that is the blessing. That is the blessing. Don't put your eyes on things that are not the blessing. Yes, you'll be received. You can be misguided. Amen. Are you there? But set your eyes on the right things. And that you'll find to be the great blessing. And so you must see as one of the great foundations that to serve God and to be a pastor is to be brought close. That's what it says. That's that's basically because you are not coming to change much in the House of. God yes. Look, the one who has benefited from Lighthouse Chapel International. It's not you. I am the one who has benefited from Lighthouse Chapel because my benefit is that God has brought me. Close to him. Closer. When I preach, I learn more than you pastors, is it not true? When you preach you, you learn more. When you share, then you just look and say hey what am I saying? Like since I started preaching about the mighty foundations, I'm just being blessed by the mighty foundation myself. I'm surprised that they are foundations. Yes, serious foundations are you there? So keep your eyes on the right thing. Don't keep your eyes on the money of the church. Don't look at the money of the church. Don't look at what you are sacrificing. Don't even think of it as a sacrifice. Yesterday I was asking the pastors. You know. I was asking the pastors, those who are ready to stop. That's why I'm saying that those who are not ready to carry on going to certain places and so on. I say you have to pay transport. So we will. Not pay transport again. Now I am saying that instead of keeping their eyes on the greatest privilege that we are having, you have kept your eyes on how long it takes you to go to church and how much it costs to go there. And some were saying we take one hour. 45 Let me tell you something, in almost every part of the world, when you are going somewhere it takes about one hour. Almost every part, almost everywhere you are going takes about one hour, and some take more than that. So if you are going to church and you spend one hour to go from Geneva to no chattel, we don't want to hear of your whatever, whatever what I want what want to hear of how blessed you are that God will cause somebody like you, somebody like you, somebody like you, somebody like me to come and be preacher. Should I bring up your secrets? Hey. Should I bring up your secret sins? Will you be happy when your secret sins are brought up the secrets? One day, somebody prayed. For me, I mean, he was praying, then he prayed. He. Prayed for my secret sins. Hey, I became afraid of that word. Secret sense. It's a face, sort of. It's unsettling. It's sort of disturbing. What? What is it the? Mission of that was so when I saw that guy on the golf course and I told him May God forgive yours. It was my quiet time that I was sharing him from my path but I realized that he was confused for for the rest of the day. Hey. So instead of focusing. On how long it takes you to get to the church. How much it costs together. You've done a calculation when my children are going. To school in the morning, it takes them sometimes one hour 1 1/2 hours to go to school and sit in the. Traffic. For a long time I have not calculated whether by something that has. To be done, we have to. Go to school. Simple. There's nothing like I. Mean how long it takes calculating my tires are getting finished. Then I call my children, I say you are not going to school anymore because my tires are getting finished on the road and I'm using too much fuel. So from now you are going to stay in the house. Idiotic. Your days will get finished. What you must rather look and say, Is it Charles? What was the name? What's the name of that Christian? Christian, who are you now? You have been. Called to come nearer. That is the only thing you must see. Do you understand, Christian? Is it not true? Stand up, Stand up. That's the only thing you must see. Your eye must see that. Who? Am I? Who am I? Now this is that they are calling me, choosing me. That's what he said in that that's how blessed is the man who God causes to approach him, chooses and cause you to come near to himself. That's a blessing. That's the whole thing. That's the only thing you must see. God selects you from amongst. All the people and he just says come. And work for me. Then you say ah, the distance when I calculate. Then why you don't do that calculation when you are going to work? But you do that calculation. But then it means. What it means is that. One of the foundations. Upon which your whole ministry stand. Has been removed. And you should not minister. You can't minister again because the foundation of the whole thing is to see that it's a blessing to be brought. Near it's the, it's the basis. Of your work so when that thing is gone, it's like you don't have to minister again and that's what happened when those people wrote a letter to me calculating how much their views, their cars, their views, their tides, whatever a. Foundation basis of the whole ministry. Was not there anymore. It was eroded. Yes. And some of you, you may not have written the letter, but you agreed with the letter.
