Welcome to track #17 of lay power. All right, you may be seated. I've been waiting for you people for some time. When I came here, the doors were not even open and the lights were not on. So I've been waiting for you to gather. Just to let you know, those of you who think I'm late, in your minds, I've watched all of you brushing your teeth, running up and down here. I realized that you are all ordinary people. You didn't bath and you have come. I've seen it all from my tower. I was watching the whole scenario working out. You see, that's why marriage, before you marry her, you must know the person as is. I saw that. Hey, I didn't know that your mouths are also smelling in the morning. I thought that you just come and then you are flowing in the spirit, breeding peppermints, natural peppermints. It's not like that. You see, You are regular, forgive ordinary. Hey, arrive Father, we are grateful for this opportunity in Jesus name, Amen. Right. We are continuing. We started with the Lycos, the laypeople, the layman, the common man. And then I began to share with you some important things that you need to know for the release of the lay power. As can you see lay power behind me? Yeah. So for the release of the lay power, one of the things you need to know is the that many are called. And I took my time to explain how different people were called to double dreams, childhood dreams, desires, I mean, mantels being thrown on them in all kinds of different ways. And how ordinary people who are failed, rejected, not successful, being God forsaken, captured by Midianites, captured by your children, by your life, by your husband, having no miracles, having nothing to offer. All these people were called by God. Is it not a powerful thing? Yeah, I enjoy even saying it. I become blessed because I remember I brought a brother who left the church because I said I don't have miracles. And I realized that I'm just like Gideon. I didn't have miracles. Wow, that's fantastic. So and then the next thing was what they shepherding, what it means to be called me. Then I've gone to the next section. I'm talking about the sections of the shepherding. Isn't it the work of the ministry and the job description of the ministry? Is that not so? And we went through the different job descriptions. 1 is prayer #2 visitation #3 counseling #4 interaction #5 radio ministry, number six TV ministry #7 bus ministry and #8 evangelism, which is where there's a problem. The problem is so major that I cannot give you the points. I can only say that the burden is not there. So when you stand on the platform to do some St. evangelism, it is because it is a month of evangelism. That's why we are here. We have been forced to come, but not that we feel that you shouldn't go to hell, isn't it? Yeah. So it's not in our heart. We are just doing something that has to be done. And that is the biggest issue. It's like a Doctor Who does not care for the person he's looking after and a lawyer who does not care about the client is and and a lot of people when they are in prison or they really need a lawyer to really talk and sometimes they are sitting in court and you see that this lawyer does not care about what he's saying. You know. So there are some people, I think my father-in-law is one of them. You know, when he goes to court, he will be his own lawyer. And then there's some people who they are their own lawyers. And look, nobody can say that thing as well as I want to it to be said, but they are not saying it. Well, I think that Ruchikata was his own lawyer or he had a lawyer. He had a lawyer. Yeah. But I tell you, there are people, they the way they are. You know you. Sometimes you. Should say this, You should say this, you should emphasize this point. But he's not saying it, is it? Is it even forgotten? After what he talked to, you realize that he's forgotten the issues. You have such a person caring for you that way. He doesn't do it while you will be in prison. I mean, he doesn't care about your life, you know, and these are people who are doing this professional job or an engineer doesn't really care. If the thing falls down, it falls down, you know, and he's the one who has, who is putting the thing there. He doesn't really care about it, You know, you'll not take any extra precautions, you know, and that is how it is when you have a pastor who doesn't really care. It doesn't really go to hell or you don't go. That's why I will not say it in a way. If I was. Really. Concerned you will go to it. I maybe move me to tears. Now I don't. I mean this month of evangelism. That's why we've come after month of jealousy. We will come again. Yeah. It's up to you if you go to hell, if you help. I don't even think about you think of prosperity. It's more important for them to prosper than to go to to heaven. OK. Now the next important section I'm talking about the sections that we are going through that we need to really get into. If we do have the chance, we will go back to the last section on shepherding work. But if not, we will not because it depends on the time that we have for the for the camp. But the next section that I want to address is something that we need if we are going to release lay power, OK? And that is we have to overcome shallowness. We have to overcome shallowness because even though you are not a specialist and even though you are a regular person, you get it. You have to do some basic thing. Now all of us here smell. How many have noticed that you smell? By the end of the day you are smelling, or by the morning or the next day you have a smell coming from you because you are ordinary. Now, even though you are regular and ordinary, it doesn't mean you shouldn't bath again. Do you understand? You must bath, do you see? Because your regularness and ordinariness is such that. It needs some few things to be done. So it's you get it to sort of neutralize the effect of your ordinariness, you understand. So your ordinariness, you can't decide not to brush your teeth. I mean, it would be unfortunate somebody in the camp will be thinking that. This place is not a nice place or it is a smelly place, not knowing that it is just you next to him who is smelling. Do you get what I'm saying or you don't get what I'm saying? So what I'm saying is that even though we are ordinary, there are some things we need in order to release the power that is within us. And one of those things is to know the work of a shepherd, Amen, and to get back into shepherd dorial work. And another of those things is to take away the shallowness from our lives. When you are shallow and you are empty, you get it. It is easy to see that you are shallow and that you are empty. It is easy to see because when you start speaking, people can realize that there's no depth to what you are saying. Are you listening to me? When you are shallow, there's no depth. There's you are not deep. So when the person starts talking, all right, you realize that all this is and that's how it is with the Miss Ghana people. When they start talking, you get it. You realize that all this girl, unfortunate, she, she's bereft of so many things. She's totally deficient and many important things. Amen. Are you listening to me? It's not that I don't know what to say. It's like I'm, I'm, I'm sailing a big boat. I'm trying to get all the people in the boat to be moving. You get it? Yeah. Are you understanding what I'm saying? Even though you are an ordinary person, you can be deep. Now, I am not a banker, but I can sit with a banker and talk about some things. You get it and engage in a discussion. Steve, do you think so? You are a banker? Yes, I can discuss with you. You get it. Even though I'm not a politician, I can discuss leadership with them, the politics with them to a point. Because I'm a late person when it comes to politics and I'm a late person when it comes to banking economics. Fine, I'm a late person. But you know you can also. Remove. A certain amount of shallowness so that you can have a certain amount of discussion. Do you understand? And so that is why, you know. When we are in school, they keep trying to take away shallowness by letting you Start learning literature. You know this, that geography, history, a little biology, a little French, their GP, they are trying to take away shallowness from the ordinary person because all of us, most of us don't speak French, don't do the but you know, a few just sweet. I'm even I was able to talk to Elvi. Elvi, Elvis Elvi. Where is she? Stand up so I can see you this morning. Give you a smile, you see? So I am able to say Jesui Maintena EC I reveal a few words. Do you get it? Yeah, whereas most of us don't have anywhere, anywhere at all in Swahili. Swahili you, you just have nothing to say. So at least the teaching has tried to remove a certain absolute absence. You get it. So when it comes to the word of God, you and I must remove shallowness, otherwise. We will not be able to do what we are supposed to do Amen. Amen. Are you listening to me? So you must avoid now. Mark chapter 4, verse 16. And these are the likewise, which were sown on Stony ground. Who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness, but have no root in themselves, and so endure But for a time afterward, when affliction or persecution arises, for the wet sake, immediately they are offended. People that are offended easily, and are thrown out easily are shallow. Amen. Are you listening to me? You know, when you you see if you're going to be, if you are going to leave because you are offended, then you are shallow because offense is part of this life in which we are. People have offended me before. Pastor Johnny has offended me before. Pastor Fabian has offended me before, but Soku has offended me before. A commensur says he has offended me before. Pastor Steve has offended me before. Pastor Charles has offended me before. You'll be surprised if I take each one of them. And I think how I'm likely to find something. Yeah, math has offended me before. Ben Johnson has offended me before. Well, if you are even a little close to me, I'll see that you've offended me. Before it's true, one day I called a certain brother, I said you every day you change your number. He sent me text with a different number each time. It's also a problem. Are you listening to me? It's. Something that comes with time. So if you are the person. Who's going to go out of something because you are offended? Then I tell you, my brother, my sister, you are. You cannot. You are shallow. You get it. And I mean, you can just you can just be moved like that. Yeah. So the fact that you see people together after a long time, it's a sign that there is some depth. That's what makes people stay together for a long time. That is why I prefer the people that have been with me for a long time. The longer you've been with me, the more I am sure that our relationship is not shallow and that you are not shallow to me. The law I want long. To me, it's one day Oko came downstairs to celebrate future anniversary. 10 years of what full time ministry? He came in and I said, Bishop, it is 10 years since I came to full time ministry. So I finish school. It's a very major thing when I'm able to point out this one has been, you know, has been singing for me for how many years? Only four years since you finished school. You see, it's not much. Yeah, But if you were to say 24 years, so that let's say that that's a different thing. They're singing for four years. How many years ago did you finish school? Four years ago, but you were singing when you were in school. It has become six. Try to add those ones so that it gets normal. The longer you are able to say you get it, it reveals depth because everything is not rosy, just everything is not as it looks like. I said that today when I came, there was, there was no light here. No, there was nobody here. Well, we said 4:00 AM for whatever. So I was here. There was nobody here. No, even there was nobody. So I called and so I came with someone. I told the look start to shout and wake up the people. After a point I was waiting to see whether people they were not coming. Yeah, I was offended. Now I could have easily left. You get it. Now, the point that I'm making is that, but it was interesting to watch. As I was. Watching the people, ordinary people, you can never know how ordinary people, somebody who come out with his shorts, ordinary regular, because in your house you know it's not that you are wearing Marks and Spencer pajamas. Some old T-shirts and some old shorts and you are moving in the system. Trousers that I've turned into shorts and you look different. Especially the ladies, I shouldn't say. You know yourselves they will put something on their head, the breast, which was pointing straight. Now it has, it has, it is showing at the ground. It is pointing to the ground as a torchlight that is looking for something on the ground. I shouldn't say it, I'll say it. You 2 what you are preaching. Say what you want to say. I'll take my time. Ordinary. You get it After you've forgotten the point that I was making. Yeah. So originally it looks all glorious, but when you stayed together for a long time, realized that Charlie, you are ordinary. Very, very, very ordinary. Very, very, very. But if you find out how ordinary we all are and we still stay together, they begin to show that we are deeper than originally thought. At first people thought it was just a shallow because you don't know much. That's why people, old, old people say, oh, you are young. I've done all these before. But as you get older, So yes, I am older now. I know this, I know this, I know this, I know. But still I want to follow Christ still. I want to be in the church still. I believe what I'm doing. So wow. Like me. I mean, I've been doing what I've been. People have predicted our downfall. 4 years, small boy. This and that, that and that, that and that. But we are still here. So after a while people begin to say it's perhaps deeper than originally thought. Do you get it? Yeah, and that's why. So now when marriages break up, people are disappointed because they are hoping that you will be able to survive even after seeing the depth of the whole thing, that The thing is not as glorious, but you will be able to stay. But you are not able to stay after seeing the ordinary thing, you are not able to stay. But that's why, that's why the especially they want as pastors, they never to divorce so that at least somebody has been able to stay with that ordinary thing. Do you understand? Yeah, because many people when this is, I mean, what is this? What type of person are you? Why you train in your house? Why you train in your house or you just arrived. The rest of knowledge, the rest of marital grace, you get it. Yeah. So we as pastors, so much more is expected of us. So when you are shallow, it's not. I don't know what to say when you are shallow. Small. No. Of. Yeah. I want to go. I won't be your friend again. When you married, she was slim. After some years, she changed from size 8 to size 10 to size 12 to size 14 to size 16 to size 18. Now she's wearing panty size 24. We are moving forward, Mummy. What is that thing that is moving forward like that? It is even more than just where there are two mess. But when you see it's not nice, it's not good. Your head, your this. You are surprised how there's that. I'll be in it. Yeah. That's when you see the depth. And I remember when I was talking to my friend Reverend Steve Meenza and he was talking about Archbishop and he said when I was what do you call it? We were just. We were nothing. He called me to come. He would say check twins, Sir. He didn't even call him by his name. That Steve or Steve, man. I call him the twins. Call the twins. The twins in the church, he said I didn't know why he liked us. The twins. Check twins, Sir. Twins call the twins and he will call the twins and he will let the twins come let you said you'll be here with his wife, a children and the twins. Yeah. And he told himself, Steve, what you are doing is a church and throughout all different, different. He said I hadn't seen him and we didn't have a land and we didn't have a church. He took me the night to the land and said this is a land, it's a good place by this one is good. He showed him. He said I will never turn against him. I'll never, you see, no matter how I would, I will not. No matter who put any, I would not do it. Whether wife, whether this, whether this person, whether this person, I would not. You see, it takes depth. It takes depth because a lot of things have happened since the day that they were called. Check to himself. See a lot of things go. So when after 20 years, yeah, you still support like I I have a meeting, you know that I'm I'm going with the argument. I said he should sit and I'll sit on his right hand side. I'll sit there. I started to go to action when it was not a church, when the the first song this time of the blood of Jesus and they were singing to the left and to the right. Three months when they were. They have not started evening Sunday service before. That's when I said that to go there. Yeah. When the church was made of armchairs. 2 here, 2 here. Yeah, that's when I went there. When we were inspired to serve God least he led handsome. I was a student long ago, it's not now. That we are going to be assessing grown-ups and parents and giving them Marks and telling them what is wrong with them. What's for yours? Yours is WADA. I promise you, you get it by see. It takes a certain depth to be able to stay. Not for just the good times. But for times that are not so good, yeah. But if you are not deep, you just stay for good times. Are you listening? Yeah. That's why when people get married and they are coming down the aisle, they shout and they sing. Don't go, don't do, don't do. Don't do. In Ghana. That's what they said don't do and don't do. It means what? You don't know. Don't know what is in marriage. Don't know, Don't know You don't know You don't know. Are you listening to me? It's not that I don't know what to say. May the yes and the yes and the yes go by and you will still believe in the Lycos and you still believe in the shepherd that, look, I can do something for God even though I'm a layperson, I'm an ordinary person. What I'm preaching to you, I preach it before. I preach it in N2, I preach it in Lagon many, many years ago. You get it. So it's very, very important that you decide. Not to be just somebody who just knows things on the surface, but you are deeper so that in five years time you still be around. In 10 years time you still be around because it would take depth to anchor yourself in the ground for the storms. And the things that are coming, yes. Life is not made-up of only good events. You don't know that. That's why a church embodies all the aspects of life. A church has weddings and funeral. The same place that people stand to celebrate is the same place where people stand to cry. Have you ever thought about that? The same place where we stand now? You may tend to Chris. Your right. Do it again. I'm not the photographer. Say *** It's the same place. Everybody's face is straight, nobody has eaten. Sometimes on the same day, morning is happiness, evening is crying. Sometimes the same pasta. That's the truth. That's life. That's how it is here. It's. Unbelievable, but that's how it is. Depth. Is what will keep you going through all the through. All the changes of life trouble. Is it a Methodist hymn or an Anglican hymn? The Methodist and the Anglican used to accuse each other that their hymns are not nice. Yeah, when the Methodist Anglican hymns are not not nice, I'm sure they have their competition among themselves. Are you listening to me? So I want you to be deeper. Draw me deeper, Lord, deeper into your word of truth. Draw me deeper, Lord, deeper into your love for me. Draw me deeper, Lord, deeper the place where you are from. Me deeper, Andy. All right, all right, all right #1 Seven symptoms of shallowness in Lycos. Laypeople #1A lack of knowledge of the Scriptures. Now, or perhaps you should put it this way, and lack of what the Bible says about different things, not not even a lack of knowledge of the scriptures, but like what does the Bible say? And where does the Bible say something about the resurrection? Shall I, shall I do a bit of interview? I should call you and then you tell me. My sister, my sister. Ladies, they don't like, they feel they are being embarrassed. You see, it's amazing. Where does the Bible talk about resurrection? Where does the Bible talk about resurrection? No, no, no. Just tell me. Don't. Don't worry. Hello. The Bible. We are all having it. The microphone you are giving her, she has become deaf and dumb. You are giving her microphone. Look. Why are you talking? Be quiet, everybody. Look. I look at her. I'm asking her a question. Where does the Bible talk about resurrection? You see now even if you get the answer right, by now it has revealed your shallowness. Even if you get it right because are you listening when you say resurrection for a certain depth of Christian and immediately some verses will come to your mind instantly, but the fact that you are saying is it correct? Should I can I please can I show you from my back. It immediately reveals reveals what shallowness. Yeah. And that is what makes a Lycos an ordinary person unable to do their work. It's true. You get it. Where does the Bible talk about? Which of three of you should I ask? Where are you? What is your name? Annabelle. All right. What should I ask you? A difficult one or an easy one? I can ask you. And let me ask you an easy one if you come early or late. Ellie. OK, I'll ask you an easy. Where does the Bible talk about love? Sing. It is a beautiful thing. Where does the Bible talk about love? Nobody should look. You see now. You see now in Hebrews. Hebrews. About love. Wow. My sister, my sister, Bishop Sakis. There's something wrong with the depth, with the depth of the people. This sister says that the Bible speaks about love in Hebrews. Do you get it now? How many understand? You see, when I preach, unless I'm even hello, please look who is the one talking there? Just look, just look and learn. And my sister here, I'm so proud of her because she allowed me to ask. She smiled so sweetly at me. And I gave her the easiest one, and she still couldn't get it right. But God made her not get it right. So that you will see when you see me parambulating around the subject, you may think that I don't have anything else to say or that I've lost track, but I'm just walking in the church, many of you at the back. You, you, you don't have the confidence to come near in. Tina, you have chosen the back. This girl has chosen to sit in the front confidently, and I've walked up to her. I asked this one, where does the Bible, where in the Bible do you have the subject of the resurrection? She's coughing. This one, she spoke early. I mean, she spoke immediately. And she said Hebrews, which my sister is like saying what are the part political parties in Ghana? And you say Republicans, Republicans, which party in Ghana is Republican? Very good rider you don't worry. The microphone is not so necessary because that says are not what? Where should I, what should I ask tongues? Where in the Bible does the Bible talk about tongues? 1st Corinthians 12 and 14. Very good, very good, very good. Keep standing, keep standing. Don't think you are better than those who got it from. And don't be proud. Be humble, be humble. Even though you got it right, OK, Don't think you are better than others. How many are afraid that I'm going to call you next? If you are afraid, lift up your hand and I will not call you. Why won't you lift your hand? Are you afraid? I don't. But if everybody lifts your hand, I have no choice. I have to call somebody, you know, where does the Bible speak about faith, Rochelle? Faith where all the Bible. It's true. The whole Bible talks about faith. OK, OK, now the question is if you are going to preach about faith, which book in the Bible talks about faith? God explain to her, Luke, when he just went to the cross, he knew he was going to die and he went to the cross. Well, she's teaching us about faith that when Jesus was going to the cross, he had faith that he was going to stand up, stand up, stand up. He had faith that he was going to make it and he went. It's true. But there is a chapter in the Bible that talks about faith. Famous. Now, faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen by faith. By faith. Oh, where? Where is it? Hebrews. Yeah. You had them whispering it around, isn't it? All right, Hebrews 11. OK, so that's the answer. Hebrews speaks about faith, you see? So shallowness is what I'm talking about. Now let's look at this instrumentalist and see how deep they are. What shall we ask them? You stand up. What is your name alone? Hi Tithe, What does the Bible speak about Tithe? Malachi chapter 3. Malachi. That was easy. Good. Brighter. What shall we ask him? We've already asked resurrection by now. They've done their research. Second coming of Jesus now. Evangelism Anacazo. Anacazo. You see this problem, You see that's when I take it's something I'm teaching and this is like I am talking about something basic that we already know. It's very sad when the attitude is in the church. Very, very, very sad. Very, very sad. Is that Matthew? What? 2818? Matthew 2818 And a castle. Yes. Go on, teachers. Matthew 28. I'm not. I'm not sure what that is. You're not sure what that is? I know you say play some jazz. Play some jazz. You can play, but you know the scripture play. Wow. He's playing, but he's he deep. How long will he last doing these things in the church? Me too. I can play. This one is so nice. I can also play. Is it nice? What do you say? Shaq I can also play. But I know where the narcaso story. Is. Can you do that? You see now? So Briders and sisters, you see, like us, I know you are ordinary, but you must know I'm not talking of memorizational. The second point is memorization. It's not that I don't have points. The points here are there the first one and taking my time there it be general knowledge the Bible. If I take you into the Psalms and I say now I just want us to do general knowledge of the Psalms, which Psalms talk about the anointing, which Psalms talk about the word of God, we which Psalms talk about Jesus, prophecy about Jesus. Singer, you see somewhat Psalm 2. What does he say? Why do the hidden rage? That's for what anointing by which sound professor about Jesus in detail? Which Psalm talk about the shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. If you people don't begin to know the Bible, you are going to be just 419 pastors. I tell you fake. Sit down, all of you. I don't know whether it's it's an indictment against what we are teaching. Yeah, look, and I want. To say to the pastors, anytime somebody comes with an apparently basic subject, but we need more of those subjects on Sundays, let us applaud the person and not sit there. You know, it's like something that we know already. You don't know it already. You don't know it. No, you don't know it. I'm sick and tired of coming to church. And you know, you have. You see, there's an attitude of life. I mean, we know what you are going to say. You are coming with the basics and whatever I see, I just come and just walk to the chair. Which one talks about love? And somebody say Hebrews, we talk about faith. We don't know. Which one talks about the resurrection? Me standing there? I mean, we are talking about not people that we don't know, people that we see all the time. So obviously there's no depth and this is one of the reasons why the lay people are not producing much and are not being released to do much because they are, they are not deep. The current lay people are shallow and that's why many of the people who are lay some years ago are in full time ministry today because they are deep. They were deep. There was a certain depth. Yes, some of them have fought so hard to be in full time ministry because there's any depth #2 The second symptom of shallowness is the inability to coach scripture. Amen. You can also turn around and say 7 steps to breaking out of shallowness. No knowledge about the Scriptures, but I don't know what whether the ministry meetings are having Bible studies and asking questions and what is being taught. You know, we should just do studies of the Bible, Bible studies, not any particular book that the Bible. You know, by the ministry meetings, we are not knowing things. People are not knowing the verses and the basics in the Bible. We are all assuming that everybody knows. Everybody knows, everybody doesn't know it. You just ask a question, they don't know it. Inability to quote scripture when the devil was tempted by Jesus. Jesus quoted scriptures when Jesus was tempted. Where is that? Don't shout it out. You are deceiving the whole church. 4 of you will shout it out. The rest of the people don't know. You keep deceiving the church with these kind of responses. You keep deceiving every people don't know where these things are. The four of you shout out Matthew. This is if I no, we don't know it. If I come down and ask. Most people don't know where Jesus was tempted. Where? Where can you find it in the Bible? Stop shouting out. Stop shouting out responses and bleeding. You are those of you who sit in front and those who are passes and those who knows what. You are helping to deepen the deceptions that are in the church by your attitude towards them. You must rather be the one who wants to emphasize. Let us get deeper into these things. What you are calling basics is Christianity. A lot of things that passes are preaching. I tell you, I am quite sure that they will be totally rejected by the Lord. That's what I think a lot of things that all this all rubbish, I tell you it's not at all the gospel and that's why when we come to the gospel people look at me say, Bishop, you have been preaching the basics, What do you mean by the basics? Which, which part have you, which what, what aspect are you calling basics? These songs that we say, is it not salvation? What, what is it? What is it? What does it mean to be a Christian? That's why today we can't even tell many of the politicians, you, you, you, you think that they are Christians, but they are not Christian. Even this footballers you hear, oh Michael, Asian goes to this church or this person goes to jail. Many of them say they are not, they are not Christians. They are not Christians at all. Look, give me a bit of they are not Christians at all at all. But we are. It's so shallow that I mean the shallowest born again Christian and an unbeliever. Yeah, they are just similar. The whole church is full of shallow Christians. We don't know anything I tell you. That's why I saw that when I am preaching. That's why you even to even catch you that I'm preaching basics or that I'm preaching fundamentals. What do you mean by fundamentals? I mean, if you go to medical school and they are teaching you anatomy, Physiology, biochemistry and the things that you need to know to become a doctor, you can say, hey, I'm surprised. You know, you are really into the basics here. What do you mean by you are into the basics? How can you be a doctor without knowing anatomy, Physiology, biochemistry and so on? Why do you, why do you, why, why do you give such terminology to these things? Why do you count the attitude? Ah, here they are going again. Anatomy. Without it, how can you be a doctor? And we are going through the church and you have four people say, ah, Matthew, oh, Hebrews. And meanwhile, look, people, don't I ask you, I asked, I said, why do you find resurrection? She cannot answer. I have this on. Where do you find love? She says, Hebrews, I have this on, where do you find faith? She says, look, I have this on. Where do you find Anakazu? He says, Matthew 28. I've not gone to the back, just in the front here. We are bereft of the paste. Why is it busy? And let's just use that word in the church again, because it's a derogatory term when you say basis, derogatory is like class one, Class 2. We've moved on a long. Time ago to higher end more, more things that challenge our intellect and things that challenge our intelligence and not this Class 1 and to 1 + 1 is to 1 + 1. It's a derogatory term. It's an insult to the message. Do not insult me with that comment about my preaching, otherwise I'll insult you back and tell you the fact that you are a complete backslider and your message is a false message. That's why you call my message basics and fundamentals. You are a total backsliding preacher. You have become a lecturer of GIMPA and lecturer of Legon and you are not even ashamed to to call yourself to, to say that you are preaching in the church just teaching about success and teaching about all these things. And the whole church is full of empty heads. Empty heads, I tell you, money, loving, grabbing, grasping Christians without any love for God. That's why when we stand on the platform to do evangelism, it is not from our hearts. There's nothing that comes from us. That's why when the choir says it is like you might as well stand and say twinkle, twinkle little star. I know I don't enjoy. It doesn't mean anything. This is not just even the words. Some of the words are right, but these choristers are all empty. They're all empty. It's true. The songs we sang, the one who sang souls apart, his mother died. His mother died. And it was when his mother died, he wrote that song. So is our party to eternity. So is our party as we Live Today as somebody's lifting the guitar on his head and he's playing it. That was somebody's. That was somebody's sorrow over his, the death of his mother. And then he composed the song. Just look around you and see the souls which part each day God's salvation and the blood of Jesus was said for them, that they may be saved. And do you care for their souls? Do you care for their souls? God is full of grace and mercy. He has no pleasure in the death of a sin. At this somebody writing a song because his mother is dead, At the Wick keeping his writing. God is full of grace and mercy. He has no pleasure in the death of a Sinner. So go and tell them that God is still calling to turn away from their sins. This is his heart. It's a Christian sinking nothing. These words that are joined together to make songs today, that's what I've destroyed. This. That we, I. I, I think we, we blame the pastors. That's what I think we have to blame. And we have to blame in the front row and those of us when we start preaching that when when somebody tells don't you are you? Are you pastors preaching the basics of the fundamentals? Tell him. We draw that word so that I don't say something. We draw that thing now. Otherwise I'll say something about your, your pastor, too. We draw that thing now. Yeah, I'm counting up to five and say I take it back. I'm preaching basics. Basics before we even come to coating of Scriptures. That's why in the Bible school, those guys, you see them as security guards, They're all Bible students. They are memorizing verses. Yeah. And you see the Lycos, we, we used to learn verses as lay people. That's why now that Bible school has become important, because without the Bible school, we wouldn't have people who are getting to a certain depth because many of us are not like we don't even know what's in the Bible and they are not even memorizing it. It's true. So there must now become a program for memorization of scriptures of laypeople. You must memorize verses. I know the Bible, so that's a new thing. We have to learn the Bible and memorize scriptures and not just memorize the past as I know them. I don't want to just go around now and start asking for verses. It's going to increase our depression. Because what I've asked already, where in the Bible start a quotation? Where in the Bible does it talk about love? If you say Hebrews I, I, you know, you cannot even imagine what it means. It means so much #3 the inability to pray for at least one hour a day is a symptom of shallowness. By the way, I'm teaching for my book Quiet Time, which is also with you. It's 9:00 and you pray till 10. You cannot do that. Your shallowness knows no bounds. It's 9:00 and I'm praying from 9:00. I'll stop at 10. You can't do that easily. Normally you are shallow. It's six. I'm praying till 7:00. Not that it's 6:00 and I'm praying. It's 6 and I'm praying till seven. I'll stop at 7 at least. Shall we pray alone to pray for one hour? You can't do it. You don't do it. You don't practice it. You are shallow, and when you are shallow, you can. Even though you are a layperson, you are commoner. You can't be used because you know lay people are brought into different professions. You see, every profession admits lay people at a point. Even when you go to Parliament, you see a section of the gallery for lay people, even students abroad, national service people, they, they go there. Every profession, even medicine we have. People who are not qualified, who are allowed to do certain things. Do you understand? And we have people who are not medical doctors at all, or even nurses, and they are trained, do this, do this, do that. There are so many courses, things that used to be just only doctors doing. Now nurses do things that only nurses would do. Now you find somebody else on the list, and I mean unqualified people, depending on whatever is needed. At times you just have to allow lay people to do. But when a layperson is doing something, the person has to break out of a certain absolute object, ignorance and shallowness. There must be some knowledge, must have some, something basic, something a little must come in to you. And that's what I'm talking about. To know where things are in the Bible, to memorize things in the Bible, to pray for one hour a day, every day, to be able to pray Kabala bhala shout. You see, the fact that you don't pray for an hour even it shows that you don't have anything to pray about. The fact that you don't have anything to pray about is even more of an unfortunate sign. Because we have so much to pray about that one hour. If we were to pray, pray, pray, pray, pray, we would never stop. Praying. That's why the Bible teaches us to pray without ceasing. Amen. Are you listening to me? OK, praying for an hour. Number four, The inability to lead and to teach after being a Christian for two years. The inability to lead and to teach after being a Christian for two years usually reveals shallowness. Do you understand what I am saying? The inability to do what to lead, To teach. You might be able to lead a prayer meeting, lead a Bible study, share things from the Bible if you've been a Christian for two years. Amen. What do you think? Is it fantastic? Is it powerful? So you've been around for seven years, you've been around for five years, you've been around for four years. You are not leading Bible studies, you are not leading Christian groups. Then the question comes, this is a shallow or a salted land. This is the other thing. You may be shallow or salted. Salted land is something that you pour seed into. It cannot grow like the beach. Have you seen cabbage growing on the sand before? Have you seen corn on that sand before? The salt is too much. It cannot grow. Amen. Number what again? 5A Lack of interest in Christian books and tapes. This message continues on the next track. Keep listening.
