We know that most of life's battles are won or lost in the mind. We know it's almost impossible to have a positive life when you have a negative mind. And that can be a problem when your mind races with negative thoughts and irrational worries like mine often does. ----UNDEALT with ANXIETY leads to DECISION PARALYSIS, SPIRITUAL APATHY, AVOIDANCE, & ultimately DEFEAT… AMYGDALA --- small part of the brain wired for SURVIVAL --- when you feel in danger—it kicks in with this drive to do something… (PICTURE) PREFRONTAL CORTEX---- tells me not to believe the immediate fear--- it tries to talk to me logically… (PICTURE) 1 Peter 5:7-11 ---- the enemy has a strategy --- and often he uses ANXIETY to bring you down… 1 SAMUEL 17:4-51 ---DEFINE anxiety---a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome. ///Anxiety can be described as a sense of uneasiness, nervousness, worry, fear, or dread of what's about to happen or what might happen. While fear is the emotion we feel in the presence of threat, anxiety is a sense of anticipated danger, trouble, or threat.
