I want to trouble us with a few scriptures in the Bible, as I invite us to the Book of Revelation chapter one. I said, trouble because of the audiency that is associated with the scriptures that I want to consult this morning to bring us perspective. If you are in the Book of Revelation chapter one, I will like you to focus your attention on verse number nine. I salute all the graduating students. You are shining, and I can see some of my friends smiling among the students. So this message is directed to you, even though the whole world will listen to it. Revelation chapter one, verse number nine. And I, John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the world of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and head behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. What thou seest write in a book and send it onto the seven churches which are in Asia, onto Ephesos, and onto Smyna, and onto Pagamos, and onto Tiitia, and onto Sadish, and onto Philadelphia and onto Laudasia. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me and being, and I saw seven golden candle sticks. In the Book of Revelation, you will find Jesus speaking with metaphors, and he happens to be the revelation and the revelator. So we need to look to him to give us interpretation for all the metaphors that he decided to use to communicate to the end time church, as enshrined in the Book of Revelation. So if you join you a little more in a few verses to Revelation one eighteen to twenty, you will see the interpretation that they Revelator himself give us and touching all the metaphors that he used in his communication in the Book of Revelation, Chapter one, I am here that livett. This is Jesus introducing himself and giving us perspective. I am here that lived and was dead. And behold, I am alive forever more. Amen, and I have the keys of hell and death. Verse nineteen. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are and the things which shall be here after. This is that scripture you just read is the calling of our brother John into prophetic writing. And it is because of the need that Heaven had for a prophetic script to be written. That was why he was preserved, and he did not die as a matter, so that he could connect the dealings and the revelations of God from the past to the present and ultimately to the future. If you notice in the Old Testament, are you stay with me? Okay, let me finish my reading, because I've not landed. Write the things with thou has seen verse nineteen, and the things which are and the things which shall be hereafter. So in verse twenty he gives us the definition of the metaphors that he uses to present the mystery that he plays before us in the Book of Revelation, Chapter one, The mystery of the seven stars, which thou sowest in my right hand, and the seven golden candle sticks. So there are two mysteries that the Revelation and the Revelator is about to disclose to us. According to the Revelator, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks without soest are the seven churches, are you there? So? Even though the metaphor candle sticks are used in the Book of Revelation chapter one, according to the Revelator, he used that metaphor to depict seven churches that are in Asia and the seven stars that were in his right hand. According to the Revelator, refer to the are jealous of the churches the messenger of the churches, are you with me? Now? Please stay with me? Because he called it a mystery, it is a deep spiritual thing that he's trying to communicate to us, and we will need to be careful to dot all the eyes and cross the t's in order for us to understand the full scope of this mystery. The first thing I need to bring to our notice, are you stay with me? Stay with me? The first thing I need to bring to our notice is that the Church, which happens to be the emphasis of Jesus in the Book of Revelation chapter one, can be seen from different perspectives. The Church can be seen from the eternal perspective. The Church can be seen from the universal perspective. The Church can be seen from the global perspective. The Church can be seen from the territorial perspective. And when you take a good look with new eyes and new lenses at what Jesus is unveiling to us, you will find out that the context in which the church is considered in the Book of Revelation, Chapter one is on the territorial level. And that's why the church is territorial. We're mentioned the church in Philadelphia, the Church in Minor, the church in Pagamos, the church in Maccady, the church in Jaws, the church in Legos. So the context in which the church is considered in this revelation that Jesus makes available is the territorial perspective. Are you there? Every order mystery that was unveiled therefore was within that context. And I would like us to stay tuned because there is a body that the Lord has placed upon my heart that I'm trusting him for grace to be able to communicate to us. If you're still with me, say a man, So the church is territorial, not from the eternal perspective or the global perspective, but the territorial perspective. Are you there now? Second thing I need to bring to our notice is that according to the symbol of the metaphor, that was used to depict the church. The metaphor lamp stand was what was used and indicative of the fact that if we take the church out of the territory, because the church is supposed to be a lamp stand that is bearing the witness of Christ. The illumination that comes from the church is the witness of Christ. You know, the Bible says in the Book of Acts of the one, verse eight, and ye shall receive what power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, and he shall be witnesses onto me. Now I like us to take that very carefully. You will be witnessed because it's very easy for you to conclude, even though it is applicable, But I like us to be accurate. He says, you are receiving power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, so that you can be what witnesses onto me. I hope you know, witnesses onto me is different from witnesses for me. Many times when we read Dan Scripture, our idea of what is taking place in Dan Scripture is witnesses for me preaching the Gospel. It is inclusive, but the way it is rendered is that your life is supposed to be an exhibit that I am real. That is so speaking, your life is supposed to be an evidence that I am who I said I am. So your life, the way you live, the way you solve problems, the way you engage with society is supposed to bring credibility to the presence of Jesus witnesses onto what means so, the church is the system within the territory by which witness can be born to Christ in the land. And if we take the Church out of the way, what you have is the darkness that is fabricated by the God of this world. The only restrain that there is within the land between Saturn and total darkness is that infrastructure of heaven called the Church of Jesus Christ. And our our responsibility is to bear witness to what. So, just in case i find myself on the university campus and I'm studying to get to end a degree. Yes, at the end of the day, I will get the degree. But the reason why I'm on that campus is so that my life can reflect the authenticity of Jesus Christ. Because we are supposed to be witnesses onto Him. And you are not likely to need the witness except you're in a court of law where they are judges that are analyzes. One of the things we do not know is that human beings have judgmental capacity. So that form of analysis and scrutiny about your life and around your life is what takes place on a daily basis. It is easy for an unbeliever to know that you are a genuine Christian. Don't forget that the candle sticks in the pictorial metaphor that Jesus makes available is supposed to be an instrument and infrastruct job built into the territory that only bears the witness of Christ. That is where the conscience of the territory comes from. Because of the activity of the Church. God has a witness in the territory. God has a system that witnesses perpetually. About him in the land. And if that witness is true to him, that light has capacity to shine in darkness, and the darkness cannot comprehend it. So the only hope territories have is this system that God has fused into the territory that is expected to bear witness the witness of Christ. Now it means that Satan's fight against us has already been defined, because as long as the Church can thrive. Are you there? It means Satan has some work to do. Satan doesn't need to fight the political system of a nation. He doesn't need to fight the legal system of a nation. It doesn't need to fight the judicial system of a nation. But what he needs to fight in order for him to get one hundred percent dominance of the territory is to colonize the church. To do what Colonel I need to read from my script before I jump to the Book of Matthew. The Book of Revelation is a conclusion, is a completion and a consumation of the entire divine revelation, presenting the unique and the ultimate revelation of Christ. It is the harvest of all the seeds of truth that were planted in the foregoing books of the Bible. You see, the Book of Revelation is a harvest. It's a harvest of all the seeds of truth that were planted in previous books of the Bible. So it is a consumation. A completion is a conclusion. Are you there? Oh, you're not following me. For instance, the first time the concept the church was mentioned was in the Book of Matthew, chapter sixteen, and they were moving from east to west in the nation of Israel, and for as long as the journey lasted, Jesus was mute. The reason why Jesus was mute was because he was burdened. There was something in his heart, but he was mute about what was in his heart. When they came into the costs of Caesarea Philippi, then Jesus began to administer a questonia, and he said, what do. Men say that I the son of man Am. This is the same Jesus that was not concerned about how people felt about him. He was so infused over taking by his mission. He was so conscious of his assignment that there were opportunities he had not to fulfill his assignment, and he refused to take those opportunities. For instance, before Pilot, Jesus would have been set free. In fact, the Bible recorded that it was finally intention to set Jesus free, but any time he was going to be set free, he would make a statement that would make it impossible for him to be set free. I saw there were various points where Jesus would have been freed, various points in the presentation, and just when, just when freedom will be granted, just before freedom will be granted him. Then he now. Makes a strange statement that balances the entire system. The reason was because he knew exactly the reason why he was on ground. So my question is what was it that motivated him to begin to ADMINISTI question here because he wanted to know about what people felt about him. So what changed? So that's one of the scriptures I had to go to God to inquire of him. What happened here? Why is Jesus asking what people about it? What people were saying about it? So this was the response I got. Early that morning, when Jesus communicated with his father, the father revealed to him that he has disclosed his identity to somebody, and Jesus said, okay, don't tell me. I'm going to find out who is. So he came out of that prayer. He began by administering the questionnaire. Then he discovered that the answer to the question was not in the multitude, so he recalibrated the scope of the administration of his question here, and he said, what who who do you say that I am? As basic at that question was only one person could answide. And I want to believe that Peter did not jump to answer. Peter waited first, he was not sure, maybe there were other people that could speak. And then there was silence, so he said, led me track. He said, now at the Christ, the son of the Living God. That great confession of Peter revealed two things. He revealed Jesus's office and Jesus's person. Who he was and the office he was designed to a pert rom I follow me. It was after that revelation came that Jesus had liberty to share the things that were locked up in his heart, the thing for which he was silent all along during the trip. He needed a trigger that we pushed him to speak, that we push him to unveil what was in his heart. And the trigger was that that person who received a revelation about him, we need to disclose who he really is. Are you there? Because without the revelation of Jesus, the church cannot be revealed. So Jesus had to be revealed in the context of his office and his person before the revelation of the church can find expression. It was after that time we realized that what he was pregnant with for which he was silent, was about the church. He says, blessed adults, Simon bar Jonah for flesh and blood. That's not revealed this onto you, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say unto you that thou art it. And upon this rock I will build my church that stay with me. In fact, Peter himself, you know, before this time it was called Simon. It was the revelation of Jesus that gave him his own personal revelation within the framework of that which God is built upon this rock, Peter the stone. But upon this rock, and the rock he was talking about was the revelation of Jesus. Because the duty of the church is to bear witness to Christ. The church is going to be built by the revelation of Jesus Christ. And if the church is built by the revelation of Jesus Christ, the consequence is that the gates of Hades shall not reveal against that. It doesn't matter what a generation were true at this church. If this church is feeding from the revelation of Jesus, nothing of this world or of the kingdom of darkness will be able to prevail against her. She will be like a rock, ancient and strong. Seizings and changes in time and sociology will not be able to affect her essence? Are me? And so that's the first time the issue of the church was mentioned. The metaphor that was used to reveal the church was a building, a building in which Christ is the foundation, and Christ must be the ramanteria that is used to construct this edifice as a dwelling place of God in the spirit upon the face of the earth. It means the Church is opposed to be that instrument that has the capacity to trap the dimensions of God and administer it upon the face of the earth. Are you there? If we go from scripture to scripture, I came with the catalog of scriptures, I would I'm showing you the second time issues about the church was mentioned. The third time, the fourth time, you would see the stream of revelation building until we arrive in the Book of Revelation chapter one. There is a harvest of all the revelations about the Church in the Book of Revelation. Because the Book of Revelation is a concluding book, is a consume meeting book, and it is also a completing book. Are you there? Oh, you're not there. I would like to bring your attention to the metaphor that was used to depict the Church in the Book of Revelation. It was revealed as can do sticks built into the territory bearing the witness of Christ. It's about how to quench this obstructive activity of light that seems to over power the activity of darkness in the territory. The only hope the world has, the only hope the planet has, is in the weakness of this system that God has planted in the territory. As we startied the Book of Revelation, we find two matters, and that's where my emphasis really resides. And as powerful as the Church is, as powerful as she may be, she is positionally planted in the heavenness. You know, the Bible says that we were seated by Christ far above principalities and power. So that's our position. That's where we are operating from. Were operating from the heaven lists. We are operating from Christ. While preating from heaven, we're breatn from a seat of authority, and all the resources needed to ensure that we are capable of defeating the devil and his systems have been a doors by the glory of our ordination in Christ Jesus. And how that we are currently domiciled in the heavenly places, far above principalities and power. So in terms of our tactics in the heavenly is, we are not by any means, are you there? We are not Positionally Saturn is not much to us. So how come certain because the gate. Of Hell will seek to prevail against the Church. We have more authority than certain has. We are positionally advantaged. Our reinforcement system is from heaven. Our rank is far above principalities and powers. But in the. Territorial scope of things, there are two things Satan can do to diminish our life. And these two things are going to be intensified in the end of day. All the weapons and the tools that Satan has available, for instance, seeing there is something called grace. But what is it that can give certain the advantage such that it begins to cause that light that is supposed to be a bimin illumination in our generation, to diminishing capacity, so that the nations will fall into darkness. Come with me. First of all, I need to show you the kind of delicacy that Apostle Paul fed the Corinthian Church. There was a menu he fed them, and this menu was in keeping with the prescription of Jesus upon this Rock, upon the revelation of Jesus, the church was supposed to be built. Are you there? They're not there? For instance, Poces christ in us. It means that the office of Christ is oppressional within me, and the person that manages that office within me is the Holy Ghost. The Holy Goos is not there in his capacity. The Oligos is there in Christ's capacity. And that's why the Holy Spirit will not speak of himself. Is that which he is, That's what he communicates because is occupying, is managing that office on behalf of another. You understand that. So he's making available just like the public address system. Amusing now, naturally, my voice is not loud when I begin to speak through the microphone, and with the architecture of sound systems. Then it makes my voice available for everyone to hear. So the Holigoes provides such infrastructure that makes it possible for you to receive what Jesus is saying. Are you there to receive what the fund is saying? But if you don't know the scope of his office, if you can't late with the abundance of resources that are held under his hand, it means you are you are in deficit of the revelation of Christ, and deception can still be cloud you. Every time Saturn defeats the believer, it is because he obscures him to Christ and makes that believer look to himself to provide the resources to meet up with the challenges is encountering. The administration that Jesus makes available in his heavenly ministry guarantees that Saturn will not be a factor to consider, that circumstances and situations will not be strong enough to overpower you. This is the first deliberate intention that Paul made, because he had in view an assignment to build the Body of Christ to the level of the reality, so that everyone can relate with a true reality and draw capacity from Christ enough to solve our pastnal problems and the problems of the Body of Christ. Paul, in attempting to bring solution to the people, he solved their problem with one stroke. It means the same solution that you need to solve your persnal problems. It's the same solution you need to solve corporate problems within the body of Christ. That's what I'm saying, Oh, you not with me. If you know how long I prayed for authrance to be able to communicate the boding that that took sleep from my eyes. Verse two, It says, this was his determination. There was an emphasis in his service delivery, there was an emphasis in his doctrine that he kept pushing. He kept pushing, He. Kept pushing, He kept pushing, for I determined not to know anything among you? What was his doctrine? Christ and his cross the solution are Christ and what He's cross? You know? He say, upon this rock, upon the revelation of Christ, the church was supposed to be built. And if indeed the church is built on the revelation of Christ, the evidence will be that what the gates of her no is not if there was no. If in that statement, the result is setting the gate. So Emphasiya should not be the gate of her. Our emphasis should be that we are growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. Are you there? As long as I'm growing in the knowledge of Jesus, I'm growing in the knowledge of his administration, in his heavenly ministry, what he's doing to ensure that our operating victory, and I become a witness unto him. There are resources and reinforcements that he's making a level, and I need to grow in the knowledge of his workings in my life As long as I grow in the workings of that knowledge, I'm going to be set on the advantage, and ultimately my life will be an evidence of the fact that Saturn is not in control. They gotta do so. His message was Christ and his cross. Jump to chapter three versus one. Best Corenean chapter three, verse one. Jump quickly in chapter three, verse one to three. Are going to see the symptoms of the Corinthians Church, just a few symptoms, but the cure is Christ and his Church. So the first thing are you there? Apart from Christ. The body of Christ was designed to depend on Christ for reinforcement, depend on Christ for support, depend on Christ for wisdom, depend on Christ for sanctification. Are you there? Christ is all in all, and the Bible says that we are complete in Him. You don't need Christ. Plus something is Christ alone. So the more I learn about Him, the more I'll be able to depend upon him. Are you there? So? The first thing the devil does in order to obscure that light and then create the kind of situation that we have in the Book of First Corinthians, Chat. Three, Verse one to three, situation of division, situation that is inconsistent with the expectation of God, totally incongross with God's plan and God's intention is that you obscure Christ. The moment Christ is obscured and you're no longer depending on him, you cannot leave a bob scene. The moment Christ is obscured and you're no longer depending on him, you not have wisdom to order your daily work. The moment Christ is obscured or something else is elevated, and that thing becomes your pursuit. And Christ is not your all in all, you are going to work in darkness, because the devil has brought deception to you. The devil doesn't have so power, so much power. His power is nothing to reckon with if you are in sync and in alignment with Christ. So what it does part of its greatest weapon is deception to obscure Christ. And the moment Christ is obscured, then you begin to see that the gates of her will begin will prevail. Part of the treasures that withdraw from the lives of men that I've worked with God is the. Experience with God. When you tell me about your experience with God, it reveals to me how much you've explored Christ and the things you found. There was a time I was struggling with my prayer life, struggling to wake up and pray. Even the medical people had an explanation for my struggle above six feet, and people that are above six feet it will be difficult, difficult for them to wake up after they have gone to sleep. So medical science has an explanation for my state of incapacity. And we receive all of counsel on how to advance a prayer course, and all the counsel I receive failed. One day, I was studying the Bible and I found in scripture, the scripture that says, quickenos, and we shall call upon thy name. I say, hey, so it is your responsibility to quicken me. Oh so, why have you not been doing it? So you didn't ask? You didn't ask. So I became armed with that knowledge. That is not my job to quicken myself. So I depend on Christ to quickly as I'm talking to him. As I'm talking, I'm expecting quickening. So now I can even tell you I timed it. How long it took me to get quick in today, how long it took me together? Then I drew a graph. I can tell you about the timing that is coming from my experience. That's my treasure, because I explore the grees of Christ that mix gives equips a man to to mountain beyond the scope and the energy of his flesh, to exercise his spirit by the grace of God. Oh my, oh, I say, oh, my problem is that I'm in poverty. My financial situation is a challenge. It means you have not known Christ as the wisdom of God. I was in the oil industry about to become a manager two weeks to the example that to qualify me to be a manager. And the great One came to me and say, resign. So I resigned. So I gave myself to intense Bible study and I began to teach the Bible. Teach the Bible. On my birdday, second of December, people began to send me money at the close of work. That they calculated how much they sent. It was my salary for one month. The sent is in one day, So you can't pay me my salary of one month. You can't pay me in one day. I don't know why you're laughing both. I said, what you find in that scripture is what we call it, doctor now disease. When there's an emphasis that is supposed to make the believer depend on something else order than Christ. That's a doctrinal disease. That's the first thing set and does in the territorial church in order to take the witness of Christ away. So I will stop there for now.
