#sermon #victory #motivation #howtohandleproblems #learningtolead #thisproblemhaspotential #storyofhannah #leadership SERMON NOTES ---GOD HAS PROMISES, POTENTIAL, and a LEVEL of PLEASURE for you to walk in--- but it requires PRAYER, PERSEVERANCE, PREPARATION, PATIENCE, PRACTICE, PAIN, and a PROCESS to see it come to PASS. --- 1 SAMUEL 1:1-20---- 2 women married to the same man--- ELKANAH—he was wealthy—he had more than one wife—the more wives you had, the more wealth you had—he could travel, he could afford to move, he had wealth—Hannah has married a good man, a wealthy man who could take care of her needs, she had her favorite shoes, her house, her donkey, etc—she was FINE for NOW… ---- during her time the culture showed that the most she could hope for was to marry a wealthy man – and the 2nd most important part of her culture was to have kids—she had money, she had a house, she had love---but then her husband brought home another wife—in that time it was normal for that to happen and they usually weren’t jealous of each other – and Hannah probably would’ve been fine with this new girl Peninah in the house except for one thing--- Hannah’s problem was not the existence of Peninah – it was the blessing on peninah – she was birthing children – left and right—she could do what Hannah could not do… One of the greatest enemies to success is COMFORT--- we get too comfortable and GOD wants MORE for us but that MORE requires us to get UNCOMFORTABLE--- we have to be bothered to get up--- we have to shift to a new normal God wants us to walk in--- with less fear, less struggle, less hate--- DISTURBANCE CREATES DELIVERANCE… ----HANNAH --- PROVOKED for a PROMISE---- the pain and crises was meant to bring about something powerful in you and through you and for you… Hannah was provoked - by the other woman - what if the one provoking u isn’t Satan or sent from Satan - what if it’s an invitation from God to pursue MORE WHAT can we LEARN from our PROBLEMS? 1----PROBLEMS are PREDICTABLE, but our RESPONSE determines the UNPREDICTABLE OUTCOME --- Jesus told us we would have problems, troubles, trials—their going to come- it’s inevitable—but what’s not inevitable is the outcome—that’s up to you, and your response—your attitude—your perspective… SAUL vs. DAVID /// 2----PROBLEMS are an OPPORTUNITY to GROW—they push us out of comfort, out of complacency, out of the routine, and cause us to use the tools GOD put inside us… 3----PROBLEMS will PUSH us towards our PURPOSE--- GOD is more COMMITTED to you FULFILLING your PURPOSE than you FEELING comfortable---so He will ALLOW YOU to FACE PROBLEMS that push you towards your purpose--- HE will ALLOW you to be PROVOKED---to be FRUSTRATED because he knows it’s the only way to get you off the couch and into your calling---you may not discover what you’re really called to do, and gifted to do until you face a problem that becomes so unbearable and frustrating that it leads you towards ACTION and then the magic begins—you feel a fulfillment in that action… 4----PROBLEMS invite us to PARTNER with GOD in PRAYER to receive HIS POWER---- HANNAH /// David /// Daniel /// Disciples /// Apostle Paul & Silas// Peter & JOHN--- prayer is two way---talk, listen—get a PEP TALK from your PARTNER GOD to overcome your problems… 5----PROBLEMS often UNLOCK our POTENTIAL---HANNAH – she didn’t realize she was about to break through as she tackled her problem head on… DAVID- Goliath /// Gideon—outnumbered big enemy /// Deborah - //// Sometimes, if we pay close attention, we see that adversity can come into our life to guide us to our true destiny. 6----PROBLEMS show us of the importance of PREPARATION for the desired HARVEST--- every problem has a beginning stage, middle, and ending---a problem in marriage didn’t happen overnight—it is usually a culmination of things—which means that the solution will require preparation—practice—off-season—MICHAEL JORDAN working hard after being beaten by the Pistons—his preparation was provoked by the problem of losing… 7---PROBLEMS remind us that GOD’s PROMISES will COME TO PASS if we endure the PROCESS of PATIENT PERSEVERANCE to see the VICTORY! --- J -- PRACTICE PATIENCE--- persevere to the promise… don’t stop. 8---PROBLEMS begin to LOSE their POWER when I begin to PRAISE my GOD--- the prince of peace comes in the midst of all your problems--- He’s there, He cares, He’s open HOW YOU CAN STAY CONNECTED WITH VICTORY Victory Church Website: http://victory.com Victory Church Facebook: http://bit.ly/2lfgplu Victory Church Instagram: http://bit.ly/2E7Qd48 Victory Church Twitter: http://bit.ly/2lp29pM Paul Daugherty Facebook: http://bit.ly/2BOyCN9 Paul Daugherty Instagram: http://bit.ly/2CiieFH Paul Daugherty Twitter: http://bit.ly/2E9tx3q
