#unforgetabble #sermon #victory #pauldaugherty #church SERMON NOTES Luke 5:1-14 ---JESUS created UNFORGETABLE MOMENTS--- JESUS did REMARKABLE things--- HE STOOD out--- HE LEFT HIS MARK---- HE INVITED OTHERS to embrace a UNFORGETABLE LIFE----- he invited people to get outside their comfort zone--- in a world of fear, division, confusion, political games, political theatre, corruption all around---JESUS lived UNFORGETABLE… COLOSSIANS 3:17,23-25 --- what holds us back from living unforgettable ---GOD did not CREATE us to live ORDINARY impact-less lives--- creating moments of unforgettable impact, unforgettable love, etc.… ---challenge the church to live an unforgettable year--- ---JESUS was NOTORIOUS for creating UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCES for people--- He not only helped people in a moment, he left a mark on them for eternity—if we could talk to the eye-witness accounts of people who met Jesus, encountered Jesus--- they would have stories to tell, moments where JESUS did something SPECIAL, he changed their life, he loved them… THINK about the KIDS in Matthew 18 that JESUS welcomed-when adults were pushing them away-Jesus welcomed them in---- think about the little boy with 5 loaves and 2 fish—that day would go down in his journal forever—it was an unforgettable moment--- think about Zacheus--- the woman at the well in John 4—or the 2 men on the road to Emmaus—or Jairus – or the woman caught in adultery---GOD CREATED UNFORGETABLE MOMENTS: ----for people to EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE---to EXPERIENCE HIS PROVISION----to EXPERIENCE HIS POWER---- HIS PROTECTION--- to understand that HE is GOD ABOVE IT ALL, to never forget that HE IS ABLE to do the IMPOSSIBLE, to REVEAL HIS GLORY in the earth--- to reveal his CHARACTER--- to draw PEOPLE towards HIS HEART--- to help CHANGE PEOPLE’S LIVES for the BETTER… PSALM 111:4 –NCV – his miracles are unforgettable ---COLOSSIANS 3:17, 23-25 WHATEVER you do in word or action- do it ALL to the LORD WHAT DOES an UNFORGETABLE LIFE look like in our everyday work for the Lord??? 1--Excellence -- If I'm doing my work for the Lord, and not just for the boss, then I'll do it with excellence. That means I will do the best I can because I'm not doing it for anyone's approval except God's.
