About this sermon

When the Holy Spirit manifests, change happens. In 1 Corinthians 10:1–4 and Exodus 23:20–24, we see that God the Father delivered Israel, Christ redeemed them from slavery, and it was the Holy Spirit who was introduced to guide them into the Promised Land. The same is true for us today, freedom in Christ is the beginning, but fullness comes only by walking in step with the Spirit. That journey requires obedience, and obedience begins with yielding to the Holy Spirit. To yield means surrendering your own plans and desires so that His will prevails, just as Galatians 5:15–17 explains. Even Jesus modeled this in Matthew 26:37–39, when He surrendered to the Father’s will in Gethsemane. Yielding isn’t always easy, but it’s the gateway to true power and transformation. This is what separates spiritual maturity from immaturity. As Acts 11:12–14 shows, it is the mature sons ”The Huios” who carry God’s authority and reveal His power to the world. Your accomplishments don’t give you that authority, the Holy Spirit does. When you yield, you position yourself to live a Spirit-filled life where change is inevitable.
