And 0:00:43.840 --> 0:00:46.960 last week I preached a message called it still works. 0:00:49.400 --> 0:00:52.000 When I said that, I was referring to the rod, 0:00:52.479 --> 0:00:55.200 the stick, the staff that Moses held in his hand, 0:00:56.760 --> 0:00:58.920 and I was sharing just as we closed and we 0:00:59.000 --> 0:01:02.800 ran out of time. He had seen that the stick 0:01:02.840 --> 0:01:04.600 could turn into a snake when he threw it on 0:01:04.600 --> 0:01:07.920 the ground, but he was about to find out that 0:01:08.000 --> 0:01:12.160 it'll work in water too. And my message to you is, 0:01:12.200 --> 0:01:15.720 don't be afraid when you face a new challenge, because 0:01:15.720 --> 0:01:17.720 what God gave you back then is good enough to 0:01:17.720 --> 0:01:20.840 get you through this too. And I do want to 0:01:20.880 --> 0:01:24.960 encourage somebody today you'll get through this too. You've been 0:01:24.959 --> 0:01:26.759 through a lot of things and you'll get through this too, 0:01:26.800 --> 0:01:30.360 but I want to get much more specific today, So 0:01:30.400 --> 0:01:33.640 I'm going to share from Exodus, chapter fourteen, verses ten 0:01:34.560 --> 0:01:38.880 through sixteen, and then one more verse as well, and 0:01:39.000 --> 0:01:40.840 I'll give you the title in just a moment. But 0:01:40.880 --> 0:01:44.160 read with me here. The people of God are looking 0:01:44.200 --> 0:01:46.520 forward to a brand new beginning. God has sent them 0:01:46.560 --> 0:01:49.680 a deliverer named Moses. He has unleashed ten plagues on 0:01:49.800 --> 0:01:54.480 Pharaoh and the Egyptian households. God's people are no sooner 0:01:54.520 --> 0:01:57.800 out of Egypt than Egypt starts trying to get back 0:01:57.840 --> 0:02:03.360 into them. I have found out that it's one thing 0:02:03.440 --> 0:02:06.120 for you to let Pharaoh go. It's another thing for 0:02:06.120 --> 0:02:09.880 Pharaoh to let you go. And sometimes Pharaoh lets you go, 0:02:09.960 --> 0:02:13.839 and you still don't let him go. And sometimes God 0:02:13.880 --> 0:02:15.960 says you free from something. But it has an effect 0:02:15.960 --> 0:02:18.440 in your life. And you're thinking, man, I thought I 0:02:18.520 --> 0:02:20.880 was starting over. I thought this was a fresh beginning 0:02:20.919 --> 0:02:24.880 for me. And just as they are moving forward into 0:02:24.960 --> 0:02:28.520 their fresh beginning as the people of God and staring 0:02:28.680 --> 0:02:30.880 at the Red Sea, they hear a familiar sound of 0:02:30.919 --> 0:02:34.640 the chariots of the armies of Pharaoh. Now watch their 0:02:34.680 --> 0:02:38.920 response in verse ten. As Pharaoh approached the Israelites looked 0:02:39.000 --> 0:02:42.720 up and there were the Egyptians marching after them. They 0:02:42.720 --> 0:02:46.200 were terrified and cried out to the Lord. They said 0:02:46.200 --> 0:02:50.400 to Moses, was it because there were no graves in 0:02:50.440 --> 0:02:53.680 Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? 0:02:53.800 --> 0:02:57.080 What have you done to us by bringing us out 0:02:57.320 --> 0:03:01.040 of Egypt? Didn't we say to you? And he leave 0:03:01.120 --> 0:03:05.440 us alone, Let us serve the Egyptians. It would have 0:03:05.480 --> 0:03:07.880 been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to 0:03:08.040 --> 0:03:12.360 die in the desert. Moses answered, the people, do not 0:03:12.480 --> 0:03:17.440 be afraid. Stand firm, and you will see the deliverance 0:03:17.480 --> 0:03:21.120 the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see 0:03:21.120 --> 0:03:25.080 today you will never see again. The Lord will fight 0:03:25.160 --> 0:03:28.799 for you. You need only to be still. Now that 0:03:29.000 --> 0:03:32.720 verse verse fourteen is complicated because half of it is 0:03:32.800 --> 0:03:35.880 correct and half of it is misleading. The Lord will 0:03:35.880 --> 0:03:39.120 fight for you, But that second part you need only 0:03:39.160 --> 0:03:42.000 to be still. The Lord speaks up and corrects it 0:03:42.000 --> 0:03:44.960 in verse fifteen. Now listen to this verse, because this 0:03:45.000 --> 0:03:48.000 is the hinge for my message. Then the Lord said 0:03:48.040 --> 0:03:53.120 to Moses, why are you crying out to me? Tell 0:03:53.160 --> 0:03:59.080 the Israelites to move on. Raise your staff, touch your 0:03:59.080 --> 0:04:03.600 neighbors say, is still works. It still works. Raise your staff, 0:04:03.640 --> 0:04:06.080 the same staff that worked with the sheep, the same 0:04:06.160 --> 0:04:08.960 staff that turned into a snake, the same staff that 0:04:09.040 --> 0:04:12.120 turned the nile into blood, the same staff they called 0:04:12.120 --> 0:04:14.680 down hail from heaven, that same staff. 0:04:14.800 --> 0:04:16.919 Raise it now, and stretch out. 0:04:16.760 --> 0:04:20.440 Your hand over the sea to divide the water so 0:04:20.480 --> 0:04:23.760 that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground. 0:04:24.160 --> 0:04:27.320 Now drop down, police to verse twenty one and twenty two. 0:04:27.720 --> 0:04:31.240 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and 0:04:31.400 --> 0:04:34.800 all that night the Lord drove back the sea with 0:04:34.880 --> 0:04:38.239 a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. 0:04:38.480 --> 0:04:41.400 The waters were divided, and the Israelites went through the 0:04:41.440 --> 0:04:44.440 sea on dry ground, with the wall of water on 0:04:44.560 --> 0:04:49.280 their right and on their left. What a story. One 0:04:49.320 --> 0:04:54.080 more verse Romans, Chapter eight, Verse thirty one. You're gonna 0:04:54.160 --> 0:04:56.960 like this one. You're gonna be tempted to get a 0:04:57.000 --> 0:05:04.080 tattoo of this one your parents. First, though, you might 0:05:04.120 --> 0:05:07.200 want to set your alarm to eight thirty one am 0:05:07.240 --> 0:05:09.760 tomorrow morning so you can remember this one when the 0:05:09.800 --> 0:05:12.960 alarm goes off. See what you think about this verse? 0:05:14.640 --> 0:05:20.200 What then shall we say in response to these things? 0:05:21.360 --> 0:05:23.240 If God is. 0:05:23.240 --> 0:05:33.520 For us who can be against us. I don't know 0:05:33.560 --> 0:05:35.400 where you're at in this story. I don't know what 0:05:35.600 --> 0:05:40.360 chapter you're stuck in, but the title of my message is, 0:05:40.760 --> 0:05:45.360 you can change the end. You can change the end. 0:05:47.760 --> 0:05:49.760 I don't know how much time you've wasted, but you 0:05:49.800 --> 0:05:52.680 can change the end. I don't know if you like 0:05:52.760 --> 0:05:55.200 what it looks like today, but you can change the end. 0:05:56.200 --> 0:05:57.719 I don't know if you've been a good Christian in 0:05:57.800 --> 0:06:00.720 high school, but you can change the end. You can 0:06:00.839 --> 0:06:04.080 change the end. Father, give us faith to receive the 0:06:04.120 --> 0:06:08.159 impartation of your word in Jesus' name. Amen, touch three 0:06:08.160 --> 0:06:10.159 people say change it on your way to your seat, 0:06:12.120 --> 0:06:20.520 because you can change the end. You can change the end. Boy, 0:06:20.640 --> 0:06:24.360 what a thought. You can change the end. You can 0:06:24.440 --> 0:06:29.320 change the end. See because a fresh start is technically impossible. 0:06:30.760 --> 0:06:33.200 I know we all want one, I know we may 0:06:33.279 --> 0:06:36.960 need one. But you know the experiences of your past 0:06:37.160 --> 0:06:40.400 don't evaporate as you move into your future. And you 0:06:40.480 --> 0:06:43.719 know that. You know that doesn't keep us from praying. God, 0:06:43.839 --> 0:06:46.640 just give me like a reset, like if it was 0:06:46.680 --> 0:06:48.800 a video game. I just just go back and do 0:06:48.880 --> 0:06:52.080 that again. You can't really have a fresh start. But 0:06:52.080 --> 0:06:54.160 what I want to try to show you today practically 0:06:54.279 --> 0:06:57.640 is that you can't get a fresh start, but you 0:06:57.720 --> 0:07:04.880 can take a forward step. So we have three responses 0:07:05.320 --> 0:07:08.560 essentially in this passage that I just read you to 0:07:08.640 --> 0:07:11.720 an impossible obstacle, and I'll break them down for you 0:07:11.760 --> 0:07:14.720 as we begin. The first response is the response of 0:07:14.760 --> 0:07:19.800 God's people. The response of God's people, and their response, 0:07:19.920 --> 0:07:23.720 to be summed up in two words, is it's over. Right, 0:07:24.680 --> 0:07:28.520 We've only been free for a few days and here 0:07:28.520 --> 0:07:32.240 comes Pharaoh to drag us back, and it's over. That's 0:07:32.280 --> 0:07:36.000 their response. And not only are they responding it's over 0:07:36.040 --> 0:07:43.720 with desperation, but their desperation leads to anger. With Moses specifically, 0:07:43.920 --> 0:07:48.240 because they are afraid, they get angry, and so the 0:07:48.320 --> 0:07:53.200 anger is a response to the fear, because rather than 0:07:53.280 --> 0:07:57.160 just feel the fear and move forward, they stop in 0:07:57.200 --> 0:08:00.680 a place to place blame on the person whose fault 0:08:00.720 --> 0:08:04.440 they think it is. So anytime that you see someone 0:08:04.440 --> 0:08:08.440 who is angry, including yourself, ask the question what are 0:08:08.440 --> 0:08:13.840 they afraid of? Because the anger is usually a masquerade 0:08:14.080 --> 0:08:17.880 for the fact that they're afraid. That's the response of 0:08:17.920 --> 0:08:21.480 God's people is over and they're afraid, and they start 0:08:21.480 --> 0:08:24.680 doing revisionist history. Moses, we told you to leave us alone. 0:08:24.720 --> 0:08:26.360 No you didn't. You begged him to bring you out. 0:08:27.520 --> 0:08:29.120 We told you we were better off in Egypt. No, 0:08:29.200 --> 0:08:30.920 you didn't tell us you better off in Egypt. You're 0:08:30.920 --> 0:08:35.000 adding that part back. I found out that oftentimes our 0:08:35.080 --> 0:08:37.640 version of the past is just as imaginary as our 0:08:37.720 --> 0:08:42.600 version of the future, and we go back through things, 0:08:42.720 --> 0:08:46.720 especially when we're feeling paralyzed, and we project things onto 0:08:46.760 --> 0:08:49.240 the past that never happens. So that's the situation with 0:08:49.280 --> 0:08:52.199 God's people. Everybody say, is over. Put it in the 0:08:52.280 --> 0:08:56.280 chat is over. That's their response. Response number two is Moses, 0:08:57.040 --> 0:08:59.480 and Moses is trying to bring some calm. He's like 0:09:00.040 --> 0:09:03.400 beathing everybody box, breathing everybody for him, hold it for 0:09:03.880 --> 0:09:06.280 four out, downward dog, upward dog, whatever y'all need to 0:09:06.320 --> 0:09:10.400 do to chill out. Be still. God's got this, and 0:09:10.440 --> 0:09:12.240 he's saying the thing that it would be appropriate for 0:09:12.280 --> 0:09:14.920 a leader to say in this situation. His response is 0:09:15.360 --> 0:09:19.320 stand still. But there's a third response in the passage 0:09:19.320 --> 0:09:21.120 that we want to talk about for a few moments today, 0:09:21.120 --> 0:09:22.640 and I want to apply directly to your life of 0:09:22.679 --> 0:09:25.480 the situations that you're facing that seem impossible, and the 0:09:25.480 --> 0:09:28.200 past is threatening to drag you back, and it looks 0:09:28.280 --> 0:09:33.959 like it's over. God's response says, move on. So there 0:09:33.960 --> 0:09:36.760 are three responses for us to consider here today. One 0:09:36.840 --> 0:09:42.600 is desperation followed by fear and then manifesting in anger 0:09:42.840 --> 0:09:46.400 is over. The second one is the response of Moses, 0:09:46.440 --> 0:09:49.040 where he says stand still, God's going to do it. 0:09:49.040 --> 0:09:52.000 It's going to be fine. And then the third one 0:09:52.040 --> 0:09:56.320 is God's response and spoiler alert, God's right and Moses 0:09:56.400 --> 0:09:58.840 is wrong. Now, I wish I could teach a leadership 0:09:58.840 --> 0:10:01.840 session off of this text, because I would really love to. 0:10:01.960 --> 0:10:04.680 One of my favorite things to teach as a leader 0:10:04.720 --> 0:10:07.080 for those who work closely with me, especially, I always 0:10:07.120 --> 0:10:10.520 train this. I say, big doors swing on little hinges. 0:10:12.200 --> 0:10:14.640 I didn't make that up, but I say it all 0:10:14.679 --> 0:10:17.280 the time, and I'm trying to get them to understand 0:10:17.280 --> 0:10:19.600 when I say that to them is you may think 0:10:19.679 --> 0:10:24.800 this really doesn't matter, but big doors swing on little hinges. 0:10:25.520 --> 0:10:28.120 You know it matters to me how we run our 0:10:28.160 --> 0:10:31.040 e Kids ministry. Do you know what I'm saying? Because 0:10:31.120 --> 0:10:33.480 if they feed your kid, you know, a rotten animal 0:10:33.480 --> 0:10:35.679 cracker and they get sick in the emergency room or 0:10:35.679 --> 0:10:37.240 something like that, and you see the church, you know, 0:10:37.559 --> 0:10:39.400 or if they choke back there, that could be a 0:10:39.480 --> 0:10:42.720 big door to a lawsuit that swings on a little hinge. 0:10:42.720 --> 0:10:44.960 So I'm like, let's be safe in the children's ministry 0:10:45.000 --> 0:10:48.480 or even little things. I mess up things sometimes and 0:10:48.520 --> 0:10:51.640 I have to tell myself, you know, slow down, because 0:10:51.679 --> 0:10:57.120 big doors swing on little hinges. In the case of Moses, 0:10:57.720 --> 0:10:59.679 you might ask the question, when God gives him the 0:10:59.720 --> 0:11:04.920 command and to stretch out his staff over the sea, 0:11:05.000 --> 0:11:09.640 what good is something so small stretched over something so big. 0:11:10.080 --> 0:11:13.800 How could something as small as a stick affect something 0:11:13.840 --> 0:11:18.440 as big as a sea. Well, big doors swing on 0:11:18.920 --> 0:11:24.120 little hinges. Or you might say big seas open with 0:11:24.200 --> 0:11:27.880 little sticks, and that would be a good leadership sermon. 0:11:28.559 --> 0:11:31.079 Even just the other week, I didn't tell you this yet, LJ, 0:11:31.600 --> 0:11:35.040 but I messed up. I texted Tiffany that I wanted 0:11:35.040 --> 0:11:38.760 her to do her new song and I wanted her 0:11:38.800 --> 0:11:41.280 in Devied to sing it. And when I sent the text, 0:11:41.320 --> 0:11:43.560 I said, we need to try it in church one Sunday. 0:11:44.040 --> 0:11:45.640 This was on a Saturday night, and I wasn't going 0:11:45.720 --> 0:11:47.560 to be at church the next day. I was off 0:11:47.600 --> 0:11:49.880 that weekend, and so I texted her. I said, hey, 0:11:49.880 --> 0:11:51.280 we need to do that in church. We haven't done 0:11:51.280 --> 0:11:52.440 it in church yet. We need to do it in 0:11:52.520 --> 0:11:55.480 church one Sunday. Well, I turned on church online and 0:11:55.480 --> 0:11:58.040 they were doing it the next day. I thought, wow, 0:11:58.040 --> 0:12:02.040 what a turnaround time in firing motivational leader. I am. 0:12:02.440 --> 0:12:03.320 They did it that quick. 0:12:03.360 --> 0:12:05.280 I mean I thought maybe they would get everybody ready 0:12:05.320 --> 0:12:07.480 and let the band rehearse. They turned that thing around quick, 0:12:08.280 --> 0:12:10.280 and I thought, well, that's kind of strange. You know, 0:12:10.320 --> 0:12:11.959 they should have given the band more time to learn it, 0:12:12.040 --> 0:12:14.480 and maybe the singers and everything like that. So I 0:12:14.559 --> 0:12:16.000 pulled back up the text and I said, man, why 0:12:16.080 --> 0:12:17.960 was Tiffany so over eager? Like we didn't have to 0:12:18.000 --> 0:12:19.920 do it within twelve hours. We could have done it 0:12:20.080 --> 0:12:22.120 next week or something like that. And I pulled back 0:12:22.160 --> 0:12:25.120 up the text that said we need to do it 0:12:25.200 --> 0:12:27.800 one Sunday, or so I thought I texted, But what 0:12:27.840 --> 0:12:35.840 I actually texted was on Sunday, so big inconvenience for 0:12:35.960 --> 0:12:41.280 them because of one letter for me, and now everybody's 0:12:41.280 --> 0:12:43.520 scrambling to learn a song. And I didn't mean we 0:12:43.640 --> 0:12:46.440 have to do it tomorrow, but one letter everybody say 0:12:46.440 --> 0:12:50.120 one letter, one word, one word, just one word, And 0:12:50.120 --> 0:12:52.520 now everybody's having to pull out court charts because you 0:12:52.559 --> 0:12:56.640 have to understand that big doors swing on little hinges. 0:12:59.000 --> 0:13:08.800 Good marriage is by little eye rolls. Big problems, big 0:13:08.840 --> 0:13:18.439 addictions begin with little curiosities. By the same token, great 0:13:18.559 --> 0:13:23.840 joy can terrupt from small praise Yeah, And by the 0:13:23.880 --> 0:13:28.920 same token, just a small decision, the smallest decision that 0:13:29.000 --> 0:13:32.000 you make can be a hinge to the biggest event 0:13:32.160 --> 0:13:35.720 and approve it to you. From this the exodust narrative, 0:13:36.040 --> 0:13:40.760 Exodust means exit. This is to be the defining, distinguishing 0:13:40.920 --> 0:13:44.400 miracle of the people of God for centuries to come. 0:13:44.440 --> 0:13:48.560 And it starts with a stick, because big doors swing 0:13:49.120 --> 0:13:52.240 on little hinges. But it matters in this moment for Moses, 0:13:53.400 --> 0:13:57.360 what response will you give when the results are not 0:13:57.440 --> 0:14:02.840 under your control? And this is the separation that we 0:14:02.920 --> 0:14:05.760 have to make for the decisions of our life too. 0:14:07.240 --> 0:14:10.640 When God corrects Moses in this passage because the people 0:14:10.640 --> 0:14:12.960 are crying out and asking him to do something about 0:14:13.000 --> 0:14:16.840 their enemy, and he says that what you have in 0:14:16.880 --> 0:14:19.680 your hand is enough for what I've called you to do. Next, 0:14:20.560 --> 0:14:25.760 remember something as small as a stick, little hinges, something 0:14:25.800 --> 0:14:28.440 as big as a ce big door. What is that 0:14:28.560 --> 0:14:30.840 picture for you today? I need you to stop and 0:14:30.920 --> 0:14:34.120 think about it so that we don't dislocate our application 0:14:34.520 --> 0:14:36.920 by going back into the past of the history of 0:14:36.960 --> 0:14:40.680 the text and realizing that you yourself are standing at 0:14:40.800 --> 0:14:45.240 hinge moments every day. That's what I call them hinge moments. 0:14:45.760 --> 0:14:48.760 It's the moment where you decide go back, go forward, 0:14:48.840 --> 0:14:52.880 stand still. It's the moment where you decide continue to 0:14:52.920 --> 0:14:56.400 blame and become more and more bitter, or forgive and 0:14:56.480 --> 0:14:59.440 be set free for my future. It's a hinge moment. 0:15:00.160 --> 0:15:02.720 And you say, well, it's not that big of a deal. 0:15:02.800 --> 0:15:06.840 It is a big deal because the smallest of offenses 0:15:07.120 --> 0:15:17.000 can become the most unforgiving prisons. And it matters what 0:15:17.040 --> 0:15:17.920 you do in this moment. 0:15:18.000 --> 0:15:20.200 Now. 0:15:20.240 --> 0:15:24.800 Moses and the children of Israel have a perspective on 0:15:24.920 --> 0:15:28.320 this miracle that we do not have because they had 0:15:28.320 --> 0:15:33.120 to respond in real time. And this is the challenge, 0:15:33.160 --> 0:15:36.520 not that we would respond to God's goodness with praise 0:15:36.560 --> 0:15:40.040 on Sunday. My goal for you when you leave this 0:15:40.120 --> 0:15:43.520 sermon today and every Sunday is that your real time 0:15:43.640 --> 0:15:47.240 response would reflect what God spoke to you in the service. 0:15:48.760 --> 0:15:52.400 So that means that when you get bumped by life, 0:15:52.520 --> 0:15:54.800 the word that you receive from God comes out of 0:15:54.840 --> 0:15:57.920 you instead of the other stuff, because there is some 0:15:58.000 --> 0:16:00.760 other stuff that comes out of us. I got an 0:16:00.840 --> 0:16:04.600 encouraging testimony from Lindsey, who serves on our staff. Y'all 0:16:04.600 --> 0:16:09.160 give Lindsay a hand real quick, and she said, thank 0:16:09.200 --> 0:16:12.400 you for the message that you preached last week. She 0:16:12.480 --> 0:16:15.000 said it really helped me. She said, you talked about 0:16:15.000 --> 0:16:17.400 how sometimes you have to do it doubting, and the 0:16:17.440 --> 0:16:19.640 Lord really confirmed something for me. I said, well, what 0:16:19.840 --> 0:16:21.800 was it, if you don't mind me asking. She said, 0:16:21.960 --> 0:16:25.880 I have been feeling overwhelmed by the responsibilities that my boss, 0:16:25.960 --> 0:16:28.960 who is Chad and he's also here today, has been 0:16:29.000 --> 0:16:31.080 asking me to fulfill. Now she was texting me this 0:16:31.160 --> 0:16:33.920 all right. She was saying, I've been feeling overwhelmed because 0:16:33.960 --> 0:16:36.880 he's been asking me to step up and I have 0:16:36.960 --> 0:16:39.920 been shrinking back because not only does she have a 0:16:40.000 --> 0:16:42.280 very young and growing family. But she said, I was 0:16:42.320 --> 0:16:44.880 comparing myself to the other leaders and how they did it. 0:16:45.400 --> 0:16:47.720 I was comparing myself to people that I think are 0:16:47.720 --> 0:16:50.560 more confident. But the Lord really spoke to me that 0:16:50.680 --> 0:16:53.560 I need to step up in my area of responsibility, 0:16:53.720 --> 0:16:56.240 and he used the word that you preach to confirm that. 0:16:56.560 --> 0:16:58.680 Now she was thanking me for the word, and then 0:16:58.680 --> 0:17:00.920 I started thanking her for her thanks you, and I'll 0:17:00.920 --> 0:17:04.080 tell you why. I said, Lindsey, thank you so much 0:17:04.119 --> 0:17:07.440 for this text is so refreshing. Do you know how 0:17:07.440 --> 0:17:11.320 many times I've preached sermons and people have used them 0:17:11.520 --> 0:17:16.000 as an excuse not to step up in responsibility, but 0:17:16.080 --> 0:17:19.879 to bail out on their responsibility. I remember one time 0:17:20.040 --> 0:17:22.160 there was somebody who told me I was preaching about 0:17:22.160 --> 0:17:25.480 when the Israelites left Egypt, and I was preaching specifically 0:17:25.800 --> 0:17:27.919 how they had to leave before the yeast had a 0:17:28.000 --> 0:17:30.840 chance to rise. And they were listening to me preach, 0:17:30.880 --> 0:17:33.439 and what they took from that message was God is 0:17:33.480 --> 0:17:36.000 calling me to quit my job. I don't have another 0:17:36.040 --> 0:17:38.520 one lined up. I don't have health insurance, and I 0:17:38.600 --> 0:17:41.560 have kids. My husband doesn't have a job. We don't 0:17:41.560 --> 0:17:43.760 have another thing to step into. But Pastor, when you 0:17:43.800 --> 0:17:47.040 said leave Egypt before the bread has time to rise, 0:17:47.400 --> 0:17:50.240 I just decided to quit. And the organization they were 0:17:50.320 --> 0:17:53.760 quitting was Elevation Church. So now I'm thinking, am I 0:17:53.880 --> 0:17:56.800 Pharaoh in this analogy, like if you're going to play 0:17:56.840 --> 0:18:00.679 the whole thing out? Because last time I checked, you 0:18:00.680 --> 0:18:04.600 were getting a check. So this is not exactly a 0:18:04.640 --> 0:18:09.920 situation for you to escape. And I texted Lindsey back 0:18:10.040 --> 0:18:10.440 something and. 0:18:10.400 --> 0:18:12.120 The Lord told me to put it in my sermon. 0:18:11.840 --> 0:18:16.800 For you today. Beware of any word from God that 0:18:16.920 --> 0:18:21.920 pulls you toward an escape from reality rather than an 0:18:21.960 --> 0:18:25.800 embrace of responsibility. 0:18:27.000 --> 0:18:30.640 Shall I say it again? I want you to get this. 0:18:31.520 --> 0:18:34.520 Beware of any word from God because we think we 0:18:34.600 --> 0:18:38.680 get a word from God. Well, beware of any interpretation 0:18:39.160 --> 0:18:42.280 of a word from God that pulls you toward an 0:18:42.520 --> 0:18:47.880 escape from reality rather than an embrace from responsibility. Because 0:18:47.920 --> 0:18:54.680 sometimes we confuse freedom with relief. Sometimes we will believe 0:18:54.720 --> 0:18:56.720 that God is saying something to us. 0:18:57.000 --> 0:18:59.600 Because it is what we have already decided. 0:18:59.160 --> 0:19:02.120 We wanted to hear. Sometimes it is not the word 0:19:02.160 --> 0:19:05.520 of God. It is confirmation by us that makes us 0:19:05.560 --> 0:19:08.080 think that we heard the Lord say something. But the 0:19:08.119 --> 0:19:11.000 Lord did not tell you to leave somebody that you 0:19:11.080 --> 0:19:13.800 committed your life to. The Lord did not tell you 0:19:13.880 --> 0:19:17.240 to just hop around from church to church every time 0:19:17.280 --> 0:19:20.159 you get offended by one person. The Lord wants you 0:19:20.200 --> 0:19:22.680 to stay long enough to learn how to work through 0:19:22.720 --> 0:19:25.399 an offense in the place where you are, so you 0:19:25.400 --> 0:19:27.760 don't end up in the prison of always having to 0:19:27.800 --> 0:19:33.320 run from place to place. So it is a good 0:19:33.359 --> 0:19:36.359 way to discern a word from God. Am I just 0:19:36.400 --> 0:19:38.919 trying to get out of something? Or am I going 0:19:38.960 --> 0:19:41.240 towards something? And if you don't even know what you're 0:19:41.280 --> 0:19:44.560 going toward, it may not be God's word. It may 0:19:44.800 --> 0:19:48.480 just be your wish. And who among us doesn't want 0:19:48.520 --> 0:19:51.280 to escape a situation? But I have found that in 0:19:51.320 --> 0:19:55.199 many cases, by trying to escape a situation, you end 0:19:55.320 --> 0:19:57.199 up in a worse prison than you were in to 0:19:57.240 --> 0:20:00.480 begin with, because now you have imprisoned yourself to the 0:20:00.520 --> 0:20:03.399 flippant decision that you made to walk away from something 0:20:03.600 --> 0:20:14.040 that God was calling you to step up in. So 0:20:14.119 --> 0:20:15.879 I said, thank you, Lindsey. That means a lot to me, 0:20:16.960 --> 0:20:20.080 because it's rare that somebody will take God's word as 0:20:20.119 --> 0:20:22.720 a challenge to step up. We're always looking for God's 0:20:22.720 --> 0:20:24.159 word to get us out of stuff. I'll give you 0:20:24.200 --> 0:20:27.120 another example. I really want to break this down because 0:20:27.119 --> 0:20:29.159 you're like, he's just fussing because people leave the church. No, 0:20:30.080 --> 0:20:31.920 I mean you can leave if God tells you to leave. 0:20:32.000 --> 0:20:34.479 I'm just trying to get you not to leave things 0:20:34.520 --> 0:20:39.240 that God has called you to be loyal too. There's 0:20:39.280 --> 0:20:41.639 a reason we love the Red Sea Miracle. It's because 0:20:41.640 --> 0:20:45.480 they're getting out and we love that kind of story. 0:20:45.680 --> 0:20:47.719 We're getting out. Did you miss the fact they had 0:20:47.800 --> 0:20:51.240 to go through and even when they got through, guess 0:20:51.240 --> 0:20:52.920 where they landed the wilderness. 0:20:53.760 --> 0:20:54.919 Now you got to go through that. 0:20:56.240 --> 0:21:00.199 So here's an example. I've heard so many sermons and 0:21:00.240 --> 0:21:04.520 preached many myself about how when people leave your life, 0:21:04.560 --> 0:21:06.919 it's just God getting you ready for the next level. 0:21:07.720 --> 0:21:11.600 And you know that chickens can't fly with eagles, so 0:21:11.840 --> 0:21:14.280 tell them goodbye and go to the next level. But 0:21:14.359 --> 0:21:17.520 I want to ask you a question. If every three 0:21:17.600 --> 0:21:22.399 weeks you need a message about everybody leaving your life, 0:21:23.200 --> 0:21:26.479 is there a leak in your life that is causing 0:21:26.520 --> 0:21:32.280 everybody to leave? Because if all we give you is 0:21:32.320 --> 0:21:37.479 an encouragement that God has somebody better and better and better, 0:21:38.080 --> 0:21:40.320 you will look beyond the people that God put in 0:21:40.320 --> 0:21:42.520 front of you for the better one that they tell 0:21:42.560 --> 0:21:45.680 you is coming. But even if God sends the better one, 0:21:45.720 --> 0:21:48.240 if you don't get better at relationships, they'll leave too. 0:21:48.960 --> 0:21:51.679 Now you're leaking the next relationship because I'm going to 0:21:51.760 --> 0:21:54.119 the next level. You're not going to the next level. 0:21:54.160 --> 0:22:03.680 You are leaking love. So it's important that you get 0:22:03.680 --> 0:22:07.639 this message so that you get the right response in 0:22:07.720 --> 0:22:11.200 real time, in real time, so that you can come 0:22:12.160 --> 0:22:15.840 to what looks like the end. And there can come 0:22:16.160 --> 0:22:19.240 seasons in your life where you think like it's totally over. 0:22:19.480 --> 0:22:21.920 I've totally blown it. This is it. I will never 0:22:22.000 --> 0:22:24.119 be happy again, I will never have joy again. My 0:22:24.160 --> 0:22:25.880 best is behind me. Now, if you've ever thought any 0:22:25.920 --> 0:22:27.359 of those thoughts in your life, wave at me, so 0:22:27.400 --> 0:22:29.760 I don't stand up here in my purple shirt looking 0:22:29.800 --> 0:22:32.800 like Barney the Dinosaur all by myself. Wave at me, 0:22:33.040 --> 0:22:36.520 Wave at me, Wave at me, wave at me. Here's 0:22:36.560 --> 0:22:40.440 the phrase, put it on the board. Please the end, 0:22:42.200 --> 0:22:45.920 the end, Okay, So let's act it out. Children of Israel, 0:22:45.920 --> 0:22:48.840 Bubble says, they went out of Egypt marching boldly. I 0:22:48.880 --> 0:22:52.760 love that part. They were marching boldly until they heard 0:22:53.119 --> 0:22:55.800 something behind them. You know how you get all cocky 0:22:55.840 --> 0:22:59.119 while you're in church, Tell the devil you mess with 0:22:59.200 --> 0:23:02.720 the wrong one. But at six pm, tonight. God, why 0:23:02.800 --> 0:23:05.399 is the devil picking on me? You know? Now you 0:23:05.440 --> 0:23:08.200 go from bring it to God, Please get me out 0:23:08.200 --> 0:23:10.560 of this. God, I'm sorry. I'll never do it again. Lord. 0:23:10.880 --> 0:23:14.159 And so as they're leaving and they're moving toward a 0:23:14.200 --> 0:23:17.520 fresh start, remember, and then they hear a familiar sound 0:23:17.760 --> 0:23:22.000 and they come to the end of the road. The 0:23:22.119 --> 0:23:29.400 end we're gonna die here is over. This is the end. 0:23:30.280 --> 0:23:33.600 This is it. And it looked like that, and it 0:23:33.680 --> 0:23:34.560 feels like that. 0:23:34.960 --> 0:23:35.800 Can I be honest? 0:23:36.160 --> 0:23:39.399 There have been so many times in my ministry where 0:23:39.440 --> 0:23:43.600 I have thought my effectiveness and my relevance has seen 0:23:43.640 --> 0:23:47.040 its greatest season, and now I'm going down. There were 0:23:47.080 --> 0:23:50.400 times where people criticized me publicly and I thought I'll 0:23:50.440 --> 0:23:53.240 never recover from this. There have been times where I 0:23:53.359 --> 0:23:55.560 lost my own joy and I thought, I don't know 0:23:55.560 --> 0:23:57.760 how I'm gonna get it back to preach. I've been 0:23:57.760 --> 0:24:02.760 in seasons like this before, and it feels like the end. 0:24:03.960 --> 0:24:07.560 And Moses's response is very tempting. Here just be still. 0:24:07.720 --> 0:24:11.360 The people are like, it's over the end. 0:24:11.800 --> 0:24:15.440 Put it on the screen, y'all, good screen, it's the end. 0:24:16.160 --> 0:24:19.919 And Moses is like, just be still, and God's like 0:24:20.119 --> 0:24:24.840 you're gonna die right, Graham said last week, every Stephen 0:24:24.880 --> 0:24:27.240 Ferdick sermon ends the same way you're gonna make it, 0:24:27.880 --> 0:24:29.400 So I thought i'd change it up this week. 0:24:29.480 --> 0:24:29.960 You might not. 0:24:31.480 --> 0:24:33.800 You like that. You can't say that no more now, 0:24:33.840 --> 0:24:38.240 can you. You might not make it, not if you 0:24:38.240 --> 0:24:43.200 don't respond right in this moment. I'm not saying you're 0:24:43.240 --> 0:24:45.919 automatically gonna have a better tomorrow just because God is 0:24:45.960 --> 0:24:48.439 with you today. So, for the first time ever at 0:24:48.520 --> 0:24:50.840 Elevation Church, touch your neighbors say. 0:24:50.880 --> 0:24:54.280 You might not make it. You might not make it. 0:24:54.520 --> 0:24:57.960 Stephen Ferdick told you that it's on a Stephen Ferdick podcast. 0:24:58.320 --> 0:24:59.879 You might not make it. 0:25:00.000 --> 0:25:03.600 If they did what Moses said, they would have died 0:25:04.160 --> 0:25:13.680 because you've got to move on. You might not make 0:25:13.720 --> 0:25:16.400 it if you keep listening to all the sad songs 0:25:16.760 --> 0:25:19.359 and never listen to a happy one. You might not 0:25:19.440 --> 0:25:22.600 make it back next Sunday, if you keep feeding yourself 0:25:22.640 --> 0:25:26.320 all the stuff you've been feeding yourself. So I thought 0:25:26.320 --> 0:25:28.000 I would uplift the people of God and edify the 0:25:28.040 --> 0:25:31.359 saints by telling you the message. You might not make it. 0:25:31.359 --> 0:25:35.760 It all depends on your response because when you are 0:25:35.800 --> 0:25:38.440 standing at the end. Watch this the end of the dream, 0:25:38.640 --> 0:25:41.080 the end of the vision, the end of the relationship, 0:25:41.240 --> 0:25:45.679 the end, the end, the end. There's so many unmentionable 0:25:45.720 --> 0:25:49.160 situations in this room today that are so deeply painful 0:25:49.359 --> 0:25:51.360 that if I set them right now, it would take 0:25:51.359 --> 0:25:52.919 you out of the rest of the sermon, because you 0:25:53.040 --> 0:25:56.560 go back to me. That's where I'm standing, eye am paralyzed. 0:25:56.800 --> 0:25:59.800 I'm like the people. I'm angry because I was afraid. 0:26:00.080 --> 0:26:03.560 I'm afraid because I'm desperate, because it looks like the end, 0:26:03.840 --> 0:26:08.040 which is why Verse fifteen of Exodus fourteen is the 0:26:08.240 --> 0:26:12.840 hinge of this entire lesson that God has given us, 0:26:13.119 --> 0:26:17.600 where the Bible says, then the Lord said to Moses. 0:26:18.160 --> 0:26:22.480 Then the Lord said to Moses. Then the Lord said 0:26:22.680 --> 0:26:26.840 to Moses that what you need for this next season 0:26:27.400 --> 0:26:31.440 is in the feet of the people moving forward into 0:26:31.520 --> 0:26:36.720 what looks like an impossible situation. Then the Lord said 0:26:37.000 --> 0:26:40.400 to Moses, So my announcement today is if you are 0:26:40.520 --> 0:26:44.639 standing at the end of something, standing looking at something 0:26:44.760 --> 0:26:47.880 that looks impossible for you to navigate, and you don't 0:26:47.960 --> 0:26:50.760 know how, the Lord said to tell you, you can 0:26:50.960 --> 0:26:52.680 change the end. 0:26:53.119 --> 0:26:53.440 Change it. 0:26:53.520 --> 0:27:02.160 Jared you can change the end. Oh, come on, y'all 0:27:02.160 --> 0:27:03.119 gotta do better than that. 0:27:03.280 --> 0:27:03.960 I worked on that. 0:27:04.720 --> 0:27:09.119 I worked like a dog to show you that. Go 0:27:09.160 --> 0:27:11.000 back and do it again. They missed it, they missed it. 0:27:11.480 --> 0:27:13.200 I'm gonna give you another chance. I'm gonna get you 0:27:13.200 --> 0:27:15.240 another chance. I know you woke up late. I know 0:27:15.320 --> 0:27:17.639 you put on those shoes that are half sized too small. 0:27:17.880 --> 0:27:19.560 I know us your throat hurts a little bit. You 0:27:19.560 --> 0:27:21.800 got that polling thing oh going on. It hadn't been 0:27:21.880 --> 0:27:24.240 raining enough in Charlotte. I know you just weren't ready 0:27:24.240 --> 0:27:26.920 for it. But the Lord said, I know it looks bad. 0:27:27.080 --> 0:27:29.360 I know it looks dire. I know you feel desperate. 0:27:29.480 --> 0:27:31.360 I know you're kind of angry. I know they let 0:27:31.400 --> 0:27:33.440 you down. I know they walked away. I know it's 0:27:33.480 --> 0:27:35.440 been a rough night. I know it's been a rough year. 0:27:35.560 --> 0:27:37.520 I know it's been a rough season. I know they 0:27:37.560 --> 0:27:39.840 abused you. I know they left you. I know they 0:27:39.880 --> 0:27:42.880 abandon you. But what I put in your hand when 0:27:42.960 --> 0:27:45.119 my word comes, change it, Jared. 0:27:45.520 --> 0:27:47.080 You can change the end. 0:27:49.160 --> 0:27:59.399 Because then the Lord said to Moses, moo, moo, stove. 0:27:59.480 --> 0:28:03.280 Your neighbors say move. I give you a little push start, 0:28:04.080 --> 0:28:04.600 I give you a. 0:28:04.600 --> 0:28:11.320 Little trump, start, move, move, come on shop five people 0:28:11.400 --> 0:28:15.040 so hard they get scared and say move because you 0:28:15.119 --> 0:28:16.800 might not make it if you don't move. 0:28:18.000 --> 0:28:19.680 But if you will take what's in. 0:28:19.720 --> 0:28:23.639 Your hand, I said, if you will take what's in 0:28:23.720 --> 0:28:29.280 your head, it's cutting out to get you through this too. 0:28:32.080 --> 0:28:36.600 Somebody take a step, say move, take a step and move. 0:28:37.080 --> 0:28:38.640 Take a step and move. 0:28:39.120 --> 0:28:42.080 Take a step and trust Scott. Take a step and 0:28:42.160 --> 0:28:44.840 pray about it. Take a step and praise them again. 0:28:45.160 --> 0:28:48.520 Take a step and race that baby. Take a step 0:28:48.600 --> 0:28:51.280 and go back to the doctor and say, I'm gonna 0:28:51.280 --> 0:29:03.360 do the treatment, but I trust Stop, Move, Move Move. 0:29:05.240 --> 0:29:09.080 The people say why, Moses says stand God said mood, 0:29:10.160 --> 0:29:13.200 And you've got to learn how to respond in real time. 0:29:14.640 --> 0:29:17.959 You might need to put this message that I preached 0:29:17.960 --> 0:29:20.520 that one part as your alarm at eight thirty one 0:29:20.560 --> 0:29:24.560 tomorrow morning, because remember Romans eight thirty one. I don't 0:29:24.560 --> 0:29:28.200 know if y'all forgot it already. It's pretty powerful because 0:29:28.360 --> 0:29:31.360 the Romans eight thirty one kind of is my whole message. 0:29:31.360 --> 0:29:38.520 Put it on the screen. Please what then, justin help 0:29:38.600 --> 0:29:40.680 us teach today circle the word? Then? 0:29:41.000 --> 0:29:42.120 What then. 0:29:43.320 --> 0:29:47.040 Shall we say in response to these things. 0:29:47.320 --> 0:29:47.920 What things? 0:29:48.120 --> 0:29:54.760 He goes on to name them, danger, pestilence, nakedness, famine, sword, trouble, 0:29:54.960 --> 0:29:57.840 anything you can name. Paul says, what then shall we 0:29:57.920 --> 0:30:03.840 say in response to these things? What then? Then? Show 0:30:03.880 --> 0:30:06.760 him again, it looks like the end, It looks like 0:30:06.840 --> 0:30:07.360 it's over. 0:30:07.760 --> 0:30:09.440 But what change it? 0:30:09.920 --> 0:30:17.800 Then? Shall we say in response to these things? That's 0:30:17.880 --> 0:30:21.600 my question to you today, What then do you need 0:30:21.680 --> 0:30:27.200 to say in response to these things? Because if you 0:30:27.240 --> 0:30:29.120 don't get to, then you don't make it. You might 0:30:29.160 --> 0:30:31.840 not make it. If you don't get to then so 0:30:31.960 --> 0:30:34.960 it looks like this. My dad pulled me aside when 0:30:34.960 --> 0:30:38.080 I was a young boy. He said, Son, alcoholism runs 0:30:38.080 --> 0:30:41.120 in our family. It is a genetic disposition for you 0:30:41.200 --> 0:30:44.360 to be an alcoholic. My father was an alcoholic. I 0:30:44.440 --> 0:30:46.760 struggle with alcoholism as far. 0:30:46.560 --> 0:30:48.120 Back as I can see. 0:30:48.240 --> 0:30:51.880 There were alcoholics on the vertic side of the family tree. 0:30:52.200 --> 0:30:55.880 But Son, you have the opportunity to do this different. 0:30:57.320 --> 0:31:01.280 So what he's saying is, even though I'm made some mistakes, 0:31:01.880 --> 0:31:05.320 you don't have to make the same mistakes that I'm made. 0:31:05.800 --> 0:31:14.440 If you get the what then what? Then look at 0:31:14.480 --> 0:31:18.160 your neighbor and ask them tonight, say what then what then? 0:31:18.760 --> 0:31:20.680 That's what the children is or is there will have 0:31:20.720 --> 0:31:22.960 to decide in the moment. I know you don't like 0:31:23.000 --> 0:31:25.840 the chariots chasing you. I know it wasn't fair how 0:31:25.880 --> 0:31:30.160 your story got started. But you can change the end. 0:31:30.440 --> 0:31:34.720 You can change the end. What then, there you go, Jared, 0:31:34.800 --> 0:31:37.800 change it, change it, changed it? What then needs to 0:31:37.840 --> 0:31:40.840 come next in your life? Because there are no fresh starts, 0:31:40.880 --> 0:31:44.280 but there are forward steps. What then? What then? 0:31:44.560 --> 0:31:45.040 What then? 0:31:45.360 --> 0:31:47.600 What then? And you know that's the only thing you 0:31:47.680 --> 0:31:50.160 got to figure out in the season of your life 0:31:50.360 --> 0:31:51.880 is where to put your foot next? 0:31:52.200 --> 0:31:52.720 What then? 0:31:53.280 --> 0:31:56.360 Not three years from now, three minutes from now, what then, 0:31:57.320 --> 0:31:59.560 not three minutes from now, three seconds from now? 0:31:59.600 --> 0:31:59.960 What then? 0:32:01.000 --> 0:32:04.000 I see people getting tattoos all over this church that 0:32:04.240 --> 0:32:05.320 just say what then? 0:32:05.600 --> 0:32:05.800 See? 0:32:05.840 --> 0:32:08.640 Because you are a story that is still unfolding. You 0:32:08.680 --> 0:32:11.200 are a masterpiece in the making. There is something that 0:32:11.240 --> 0:32:13.560 God is doing in your life that your eyes have 0:32:13.640 --> 0:32:16.080 not seen and your ears have not heard, and it 0:32:16.080 --> 0:32:18.480 has not entered into your heart, the things that God 0:32:18.520 --> 0:32:21.800 has planned for them that loved him. What then shall 0:32:21.840 --> 0:32:24.760 we say in response to these things? 0:32:25.000 --> 0:32:26.040 Because one day. 0:32:25.920 --> 0:32:29.680 Your story will be told. What then do you want 0:32:29.720 --> 0:32:32.240 to be in the story when you tell it, because 0:32:32.240 --> 0:32:34.280 it doesn't have to end like it is right now. 0:32:34.480 --> 0:32:36.440 It doesn't have to end like it is right now. 0:32:36.760 --> 0:32:39.200 It doesn't have to end like it is right It 0:32:39.240 --> 0:32:39.760 doesn't have. 0:32:39.760 --> 0:32:43.080 To end like it. It doesn't have to end like it. 0:32:44.000 --> 0:32:48.120 You could change the end. We can't fix the beginning. 0:32:49.840 --> 0:32:52.000 You don't have to. Jesus died for that. 0:32:53.200 --> 0:32:55.440 Ah, Jesus died for that. 0:32:56.560 --> 0:33:04.080 Everything you ever did, He took nails in his hand 0:33:04.440 --> 0:33:09.400 so you would never have to pay for your sin. Yeah. Yeah, 0:33:09.680 --> 0:33:11.640 But now we are in a moment in your life, 0:33:11.640 --> 0:33:14.440 give me my camera where it's not what's in his hand, 0:33:14.480 --> 0:33:16.760 it's what's in yours that's going to make the difference. 0:33:18.040 --> 0:33:23.120 What then? What then? So you may be talking to 0:33:23.160 --> 0:33:25.520 somebody about this thing you're going through, What then shall 0:33:25.560 --> 0:33:29.800 we say in response to these things? Yeah, these things 0:33:31.160 --> 0:33:33.560 going through. Some things right now don't look like cherious. 0:33:34.360 --> 0:33:36.960 Sometimes it looks like a child custody battle. Sometimes it 0:33:37.000 --> 0:33:39.600 looks like a child in your home that's struggling. Sometimes 0:33:39.600 --> 0:33:42.080 it looks like in your own heart you don't even 0:33:42.160 --> 0:33:46.080 want to be around anymore. What then, is the question 0:33:46.160 --> 0:33:49.040 shall we say in response to these things? So maybe 0:33:49.040 --> 0:33:51.280 we want to think about when you're telling the story 0:33:51.320 --> 0:33:57.400 one day, what then shall you say in response to 0:33:57.480 --> 0:34:02.080 these things the children of Israel say, is over? Moses says, 0:34:02.120 --> 0:34:04.560 stands still. God says, give it to me again, Jared, 0:34:05.360 --> 0:34:10.680 it's not the end. Then then, so when the story 0:34:10.760 --> 0:34:13.200 was told, watch this Exius, chapter fourteen, verse twenty one. 0:34:13.880 --> 0:34:17.000 The real hinge isn't what the Lord said, it's what 0:34:17.040 --> 0:34:25.719 Moses did. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. 0:34:26.600 --> 0:34:28.759 And all that night the Lord drove back to sea 0:34:28.800 --> 0:34:31.480 with a strong east wind. Lord, I want a strong 0:34:31.600 --> 0:34:35.000 east wind. Drive it back, Drive back to dead, drive 0:34:35.040 --> 0:34:38.200 back to bankrupt seat, drive back the depression, drive it back. 0:34:38.200 --> 0:34:43.080 And God said, what will you do while you're waiting 0:34:43.120 --> 0:34:46.719 for me to drive it? Because God only drove it 0:34:46.760 --> 0:34:47.680 when Moses did it. 0:34:48.520 --> 0:34:50.719 What then? What then? 0:34:51.719 --> 0:34:54.080 Oh, this is going so good, Thank you Lord for 0:34:54.160 --> 0:34:57.160 this word. What then that's what you got to answer? 0:34:57.400 --> 0:35:00.560 What then? Not? What them? It don't matter about them, 0:35:00.719 --> 0:35:01.799 It matters about you. 0:35:02.160 --> 0:35:02.680 What then? 0:35:02.880 --> 0:35:03.919 What then? What now? 0:35:04.000 --> 0:35:04.440 What me? 0:35:05.440 --> 0:35:08.720 Change me? Holly made a whole Bible study called Missus 0:35:08.800 --> 0:35:11.520 Better Half for married couples who are just married, and 0:35:11.560 --> 0:35:15.200 the entire premise is when I change me, I change we? 0:35:17.360 --> 0:35:21.680 What then? Now what them? You think she can fix me? 0:35:23.120 --> 0:35:27.279 You think she can fix this? This is unfixable. But 0:35:27.400 --> 0:35:29.920 she can love me, she can accept me, she can 0:35:29.920 --> 0:35:33.320 be my partner. See what then, that's what you're always 0:35:33.360 --> 0:35:36.480 deciding in a relationship. Oh they cussed me out? What then? 0:35:37.680 --> 0:35:39.799 How do you want the story to go? When the 0:35:39.800 --> 0:35:41.560 boys were really little, we went to see this Christian 0:35:41.560 --> 0:35:42.960 movie one day. And I'm telling you the Christian movie 0:35:42.960 --> 0:35:44.719 because it makes a story even that much more embarrassing 0:35:44.719 --> 0:35:46.360 for me. And I'm gonna put myself out there and 0:35:46.360 --> 0:35:47.680 hopes that it might help you to find your own 0:35:47.680 --> 0:35:50.040 story as well, because your story's not over. Your story 0:35:50.120 --> 0:35:52.759 is not over. Your story is not over. There is 0:35:52.800 --> 0:35:55.759 a next chapter for your life. There is a next 0:35:55.840 --> 0:35:59.239 chapter for your life. But but the way it goes, 0:35:59.280 --> 0:36:02.319 the story you tell else depends on the then that 0:36:02.360 --> 0:36:06.040 you live right now. So that's what you'll understand. You're 0:36:06.080 --> 0:36:08.960 living it in real time. You're not just reading about 0:36:09.000 --> 0:36:11.320 it at the red seat. You're living it in real time. 0:36:12.400 --> 0:36:14.920 Like when I was pulling out of that movie. The 0:36:14.960 --> 0:36:18.040 boys were real little too. I Reckon Graham was eight, 0:36:18.120 --> 0:36:22.279 alleged was eleven. Well, I'll never forget that movie was 0:36:22.320 --> 0:36:25.239 so boring. So I was already in a bad mood 0:36:25.239 --> 0:36:27.120 because it was boring movie. Why do the Christian movies 0:36:27.160 --> 0:36:28.800 have to be boring so often? You know what I'm saying. 0:36:29.120 --> 0:36:31.359 So I'm like mad at us as the Kingdom people 0:36:31.400 --> 0:36:33.279 of God that we can't make a better movie. I'm 0:36:33.320 --> 0:36:40.040 backing out the parking space and the man hanked at 0:36:40.080 --> 0:36:45.720 me because I was backing out too slow, and he goes, hey, buddy, 0:36:45.960 --> 0:36:52.040 we need your spot, you need my spot. Well, I 0:36:52.480 --> 0:36:56.359 rolled down my automatic window. That's what I did then, 0:36:56.800 --> 0:36:59.080 so he yells. Then I rolled down my window. And 0:36:59.080 --> 0:37:00.680 I don't roll down my window for he yelled. That's 0:37:00.680 --> 0:37:02.879 what I did in response as a consequence for his action, 0:37:03.160 --> 0:37:05.160 to set a good example for my boys. And nobody 0:37:05.160 --> 0:37:07.240 gets to hunk at you in a pickup truck without 0:37:07.239 --> 0:37:09.279 you rolling down the window of your Maxima and letting 0:37:09.280 --> 0:37:11.319 them know. It's not the size of the Maxima, it's 0:37:11.320 --> 0:37:13.520 the size of the crazy inside of me. And we 0:37:13.560 --> 0:37:15.680 can get it on right outside. I don't even care 0:37:15.680 --> 0:37:18.200 if it's the Valentine Church parking lot. And I just 0:37:18.280 --> 0:37:25.440 preached The Christian movie didn't save me that good. I 0:37:25.440 --> 0:37:29.360 said what. That's why I said, And I could have 0:37:29.400 --> 0:37:31.440 said some other four letter words. You'll ought to be 0:37:31.640 --> 0:37:35.759 glad it was what. There were some other four letter 0:37:35.840 --> 0:37:39.360 options circulating at that point in time. I said what, 0:37:40.960 --> 0:37:44.680 and then he said another four letter word back to me. 0:37:45.440 --> 0:37:49.640 Now I'm out the car. Now. At this point, I know, Officer, 0:37:49.719 --> 0:37:52.160 this is bad. You almost got called to the movie 0:37:52.160 --> 0:37:56.640 theater this day, Officer, I said, I said, what are. 0:37:56.560 --> 0:37:57.160 We gonna do? 0:37:58.320 --> 0:38:03.000 Right? Because I really didn't know either. But We're going 0:38:03.080 --> 0:38:05.320 back and forth, and I'm like, it's trying to intimidate 0:38:05.360 --> 0:38:06.480 h because I rely don't want to fight him, and 0:38:06.520 --> 0:38:08.839 I'm trying to intimidate him. And I'm not playing any 0:38:08.880 --> 0:38:10.319 of this out in my head too much. I'm just 0:38:10.560 --> 0:38:13.640 doing it. And it's a red sea of sorts. Okay, 0:38:14.800 --> 0:38:16.680 a little bit of a downgrade for the miracle. But 0:38:17.360 --> 0:38:19.520 I'm back and forth with this guy, and all of 0:38:19.600 --> 0:38:23.000 a sudden, I see Graham right beside me. He has 0:38:23.040 --> 0:38:24.880 now gotten out of the car and joined his father 0:38:24.960 --> 0:38:26.560 in this foolishness. In this volley. 0:38:26.920 --> 0:38:28.320 It's a generational curse. 0:38:28.960 --> 0:38:30.879 And Graham's standing there staring at the car, and when 0:38:30.880 --> 0:38:33.200 the guy saw Graham, he kind of sobered up. He's like, hey, man, 0:38:33.239 --> 0:38:36.000 you know what, let's just you know, let's just go 0:38:36.080 --> 0:38:39.759 our separate ways. I was like, all right, all right 0:38:39.840 --> 0:38:46.360 then that's what I thought. Then got back in the car. 0:38:47.080 --> 0:38:52.440 I said, Graham, what were you going to do? Why'd 0:38:52.440 --> 0:38:55.080 you come out in the car? He said, I was 0:38:55.120 --> 0:38:56.960 going to see what happened. I said, well, what if 0:38:57.280 --> 0:39:00.160 he wanted to fight, then, what would you do? He 0:39:00.239 --> 0:39:04.319 said I was going to kick him, and he specified 0:39:04.400 --> 0:39:07.799 where and it wasn't the shin bone. And he was, hey, 0:39:07.960 --> 0:39:11.480 y'all pray for him. He said I would kick him 0:39:12.960 --> 0:39:15.479 and I said huh. And Elijah was listening, and he goes, 0:39:15.840 --> 0:39:18.839 the better question is Dad, what were you going to do? 0:39:21.600 --> 0:39:26.080 The voice of reason right, I'm like, I don't know, son. 0:39:26.280 --> 0:39:30.360 The Bible talks about prayer and delaying on of hands, 0:39:31.200 --> 0:39:35.160 and they are both Biblical. I'm misinterpreting the text. See 0:39:35.200 --> 0:39:39.720 I do it too. Okay, Well, he asked the question 0:39:39.800 --> 0:39:41.160 where were you going to do? Then? He said, did 0:39:41.200 --> 0:39:43.120 you even think about that? If you got in a fight, 0:39:43.280 --> 0:39:44.839 we were going to be in the news. The church 0:39:44.960 --> 0:39:46.239 was going to be in the news because you got 0:39:46.280 --> 0:39:48.399 in a fight, And then did you ever think about 0:39:48.400 --> 0:39:50.040 that you might go to jail? And then did you 0:39:50.040 --> 0:39:51.600 ever think about that we might grow up without a dad? 0:39:52.760 --> 0:39:53.000 See? 0:39:53.000 --> 0:39:57.520 Because he's thinking, then watch this. All I'm thinking is this. 0:40:00.840 --> 0:40:02.840 And it took an eleven year old for me to 0:40:02.880 --> 0:40:06.480 be like, let's go get some Mexican food boys and 0:40:06.520 --> 0:40:11.239 forget that ever happened. Don't tell your mama about UK. 0:40:11.360 --> 0:40:15.480 So just don't mention this. And now I'm telling you 0:40:15.520 --> 0:40:17.840 as an example. You see, it's not always going to 0:40:17.920 --> 0:40:21.600 be some huge red sea moment that you're responding to. 0:40:23.080 --> 0:40:24.560 It's going to be not a red sea but a 0:40:24.560 --> 0:40:31.360 parking lot, traffic jam, a build that comes across something 0:40:31.360 --> 0:40:33.480 the doctor saw on your lungs that they weren't planning 0:40:33.480 --> 0:40:38.319 to see. What then? What then? The knowledge that your 0:40:38.360 --> 0:40:41.080 marriage is not really doing so good, and now that 0:40:41.120 --> 0:40:43.000 the kids are on their way out the house, maybe 0:40:43.040 --> 0:40:45.600 you don't really have much to build on. What then? 0:40:47.160 --> 0:40:48.880 And the way I like the picture it for myself 0:40:49.000 --> 0:40:50.880 is like this. It's like if we're telling our story 0:40:50.880 --> 0:40:53.239 one day and we're like, you know what, I went 0:40:53.280 --> 0:40:57.560 through a horrible time twenty twenty six or wherever you're 0:40:57.560 --> 0:41:01.240 watching this in the future, and I'm gonna be honest 0:41:01.280 --> 0:41:06.160 with you. I got really disappointed in some people, and 0:41:06.239 --> 0:41:08.239 I let it faster. Then I stopped going to church. 0:41:09.920 --> 0:41:11.719 And then after not being in church for a little while, 0:41:11.719 --> 0:41:14.000 I like filled the vacuum with other wrong people in 0:41:14.000 --> 0:41:17.360 my life. And then and then and then it was drinking. 0:41:17.400 --> 0:41:19.560 But I always I always thought that I could you know, 0:41:19.600 --> 0:41:21.840 I can handle it, or or or then I just 0:41:21.920 --> 0:41:23.920 you know, I started spending so much money as when 0:41:23.960 --> 0:41:26.759 they try to fill the vacuum. Then I then I 0:41:26.760 --> 0:41:30.680 thought so far from God. Then then then like put 0:41:30.680 --> 0:41:33.200 it back up. How do you want this to end? 0:41:33.239 --> 0:41:39.360 Because you can change the end. You could say that 0:41:39.560 --> 0:41:42.600 was the hardest time in my life. I got really 0:41:42.680 --> 0:41:49.560 hurt by some people. Then you get to pick the 0:41:49.560 --> 0:41:58.719 then that you live. Next, I was going to church. 0:41:58.719 --> 0:42:00.680 I got hurt by some people. But it it's amazing 0:42:00.680 --> 0:42:03.040 because they got like five million campuses. So if you 0:42:03.040 --> 0:42:04.319 want to leave the church, you can leave the church 0:42:04.360 --> 0:42:05.960 without leaving the church. You just go to another campus 0:42:05.960 --> 0:42:11.800 and meet some other people. When another campus, then I 0:42:11.840 --> 0:42:13.120 joined the Greater Team. Did you want to see the 0:42:13.120 --> 0:42:16.279 testimony today? The lady said, I felt like called to 0:42:16.360 --> 0:42:19.759 volunteer then my husband volunteered. Then one of my kids 0:42:19.800 --> 0:42:23.040 got baptized, then another one got baptized, then another one, 0:42:23.200 --> 0:42:27.880 then another one, then another one, So which then which? 0:42:27.960 --> 0:42:31.799 Then the Bible says, Then, Moses, you can change the end. 0:42:32.400 --> 0:42:35.160 I can't change the fact that Pharaoh's chasing me, but 0:42:35.239 --> 0:42:37.399 I can stretch what I have, and I can take 0:42:37.440 --> 0:42:40.560 a forward step. Which then will you tell when you 0:42:40.600 --> 0:42:45.160 tell the story one day? Which then will it? They 0:42:45.200 --> 0:42:46.759 walked out in my life and then so I just 0:42:46.800 --> 0:42:48.680 shut my heart off, and then I never loved again. 0:42:48.719 --> 0:42:51.839 Then I never trusted anyone again, and then I just 0:42:51.840 --> 0:42:55.360 gave up. What story did I want to tell you today? 0:42:55.480 --> 0:42:58.399 The church was going good, and then they started criticizing us, 0:42:58.480 --> 0:43:01.160 and it was twenty thirteen and and week after week 0:43:01.200 --> 0:43:03.680 they kept talking bad about us, and then I decided, 0:43:03.719 --> 0:43:06.200 you know what, forget y'all. If y'all don't appreciate my annoying, 0:43:06.360 --> 0:43:08.359 I'm out of here. And I walked away from the church. 0:43:08.480 --> 0:43:10.600 And that's why I don't even appreciate anymore, because I 0:43:10.840 --> 0:43:16.000 can't stand Christians, or do you want to say? And 0:43:16.040 --> 0:43:18.920 then they told the story of how we faked our baptisms, 0:43:19.320 --> 0:43:20.960 And then I stood up in front of the church 0:43:21.239 --> 0:43:23.960 one Sunday morning in twenty thirteen and said, tonight we're 0:43:23.960 --> 0:43:26.520 going to have a special baptism service. And then we 0:43:26.560 --> 0:43:29.680 baptized four hundred people that night, and then we baptized 0:43:29.719 --> 0:43:32.480 a thousand people again the next year, and then and then, 0:43:32.560 --> 0:43:34.799 and then, and then. It could have been the end. 0:43:35.560 --> 0:43:37.560 Put it on the board, the end, d end, the end. 0:43:38.080 --> 0:43:41.640 It could have been the end. But then, but then 0:43:41.920 --> 0:43:44.280 it could have been the end. They could have died 0:43:44.400 --> 0:43:46.640 right there. You could die in your disappointment. 0:43:46.840 --> 0:43:47.239 Change it. 0:43:47.560 --> 0:43:51.319 Then you can change the end with then something as 0:43:51.400 --> 0:43:54.680 simple as a then. And if you don't believe me 0:43:54.760 --> 0:43:58.120 from the life of Moses, perhaps we should call on David. 0:43:58.600 --> 0:44:02.239 David who was the man after God's own heart, but 0:44:02.320 --> 0:44:04.800 in the middle of his life he started to become 0:44:04.840 --> 0:44:07.759 a little bit distracted by things that he saw and 0:44:07.840 --> 0:44:10.960 weary from battles that he had endured. One day, he's 0:44:11.000 --> 0:44:13.840 walking around his roof and sees a woman who's bathing 0:44:13.880 --> 0:44:15.960 on her roof. He takes her, which he has the 0:44:16.080 --> 0:44:18.720 right to do as a king legally, but it's wrong 0:44:18.840 --> 0:44:21.960 to God. In the process of covering up that sin, 0:44:22.280 --> 0:44:25.560 he sins again, has her husband murdered. And the prophet 0:44:25.600 --> 0:44:27.760 comes to David and says, what you did is wrong. 0:44:28.000 --> 0:44:30.960 God doesn't like what you did. God is displeased with 0:44:31.040 --> 0:44:33.759 what you did. God does not see this as your 0:44:34.040 --> 0:44:37.200 true potential. And so the baby is going to die. 0:44:37.280 --> 0:44:40.680 David starts fasting, David starts praying, and it looks like 0:44:40.760 --> 0:44:44.120 the end, and it is. The baby does not live. 0:44:44.200 --> 0:44:47.200 And at this moment David has a decision. It is 0:44:47.239 --> 0:44:51.440 a hinge decision. The baby did not live. The consequence 0:44:51.520 --> 0:44:54.120 has happened. His prayer was not answered. And perhaps that's 0:44:54.160 --> 0:44:56.640 where you are in your life today and why God 0:44:56.719 --> 0:44:59.400 led me to preach you can change the end, because 0:44:59.400 --> 0:45:03.360 in second Samuel twelve, verse twenty, the Bible says something 0:45:03.520 --> 0:45:10.759 very powerful. Then David got up, and I see you 0:45:10.800 --> 0:45:15.160 getting up today because I see you making a decision 0:45:15.680 --> 0:45:19.320 that I will not let this event define the rest 0:45:19.560 --> 0:45:20.320 of my life. 0:45:20.680 --> 0:45:22.240 I did it. It was wrong. 0:45:22.560 --> 0:45:27.440 I repented, I wept, I'm sorry. Created me a clean heart, 0:45:27.640 --> 0:45:31.880 Oh God. Then David got up, circle the word then please, 0:45:31.920 --> 0:45:34.719 so I can drive this home. David got up from 0:45:34.719 --> 0:45:39.000 the ground, washed, put on lotions, changed his clothes, went 0:45:39.080 --> 0:45:42.759 to the house of the Lord and worshiped. When he worshiped, 0:45:42.760 --> 0:45:44.560 then he had the strength to go to his house, 0:45:44.840 --> 0:45:47.960 and at his request, they served him food and he ate. 0:45:48.080 --> 0:45:50.680 Verse twenty four is even better because after he got 0:45:50.760 --> 0:45:54.440 up and washed and went to the house and worshiped 0:45:54.480 --> 0:45:59.680 and ate, the Bible says again, Then David comforted his wife, Bethsheba, 0:46:00.000 --> 0:46:02.399 and he went to her and made love to her, 0:46:02.480 --> 0:46:04.879 and she gave birth to a son, and they named 0:46:04.920 --> 0:46:07.839 him Solomon. And the Lord loved him, and that king 0:46:07.920 --> 0:46:11.200 went on to be the greatest, most wise king that 0:46:11.400 --> 0:46:16.520 Israel had known from David's worst decision. Then he got up. 0:46:16.960 --> 0:46:19.640 Then he went in, and I came to let you 0:46:19.719 --> 0:46:22.319 know today you don't have to stay stuck in your 0:46:22.360 --> 0:46:25.479 regret another day if you don't want to. My hope 0:46:25.560 --> 0:46:29.160 is built on nothing less then Jesus' blood and righteousness. 0:46:30.560 --> 0:46:37.560 Then David got up, Make God contact with your neighbors, 0:46:37.560 --> 0:46:41.399 say get up, get up, repent and get up, Wash 0:46:41.440 --> 0:46:44.600 your face and get up, change your shirt and get up. 0:46:44.840 --> 0:46:50.799 Say you're sorry and move forward. Then or perhaps sa, 0:46:50.800 --> 0:46:56.759 if you don't believe David, you'll believe Samson. Maybe if 0:46:56.760 --> 0:46:59.840 you don't believe me and you don't believe Moses, and 0:47:00.040 --> 0:47:02.880 you don't believe David, and you feel like this is 0:47:02.920 --> 0:47:06.480 the end for me. Maybe you believe Samson, who got 0:47:06.480 --> 0:47:09.439 the most expensive haircut in the history of humanity, talk 0:47:09.480 --> 0:47:14.160 about a hinge decision, a haircut turned into his eyes 0:47:14.200 --> 0:47:17.080 being gouged out and the loss of his strength because 0:47:17.080 --> 0:47:20.560 of the breaking of his vow. And Samson, with his 0:47:20.760 --> 0:47:24.080 eyes gouged out, is standing in the column as they 0:47:24.120 --> 0:47:27.360 worship Dagon, the false God, and they're mocking him. And 0:47:27.400 --> 0:47:29.600 perhaps you feel like that right now, Like, man, I 0:47:29.719 --> 0:47:33.240 just feel so embarrassed. I feel so humiliated. And Samson 0:47:33.280 --> 0:47:35.560 at his lowest moment, you listening. 0:47:35.200 --> 0:47:36.880 To me, I'm telling you can change. 0:47:36.640 --> 0:47:39.160 The end, the Bible says in Judge sixteen twenty eight. 0:47:39.360 --> 0:47:45.240 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, pray about it, baby, 0:47:45.520 --> 0:47:48.560 It's not over. He prayed to the Lord, Sovereign, Lord, 0:47:48.880 --> 0:47:52.920 remember me, Please, God strengthen me just once more and 0:47:53.000 --> 0:47:56.480 let me, with one blow, get revenge on the Philistines 0:47:56.520 --> 0:48:01.600 for my two eyes. And then Samson and reached, you 0:48:01.640 --> 0:48:06.440 missed it justin. Then Samson reached, I'm telling you that 0:48:06.520 --> 0:48:08.839 you get to pick your next. Then you get to 0:48:08.880 --> 0:48:11.640 pick your next. Then You don't get to control the result, 0:48:11.960 --> 0:48:15.160 but you control your response. You get to pick your next. 0:48:15.200 --> 0:48:20.080 Then the result belongs to God, the response belongs to you. 0:48:20.800 --> 0:48:26.239 And Samson mock can't see blind, humiliated, defeated, disgraced, embarrassed. 0:48:26.440 --> 0:48:29.960 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which 0:48:30.000 --> 0:48:33.320 the temple stood, bracing himself against them, his right hand 0:48:33.320 --> 0:48:35.120 on the one, put it on the screen the end, 0:48:35.320 --> 0:48:36.799 and his left hand on the other. 0:48:37.120 --> 0:48:38.279 The Bible says, change it. 0:48:38.320 --> 0:48:40.839 Watch this, Sampson said, let me die with the Philistines. 0:48:40.880 --> 0:48:44.399 Then he pushed with all his might, and down came 0:48:44.480 --> 0:48:47.600 the temple of the false God, and down came the 0:48:47.680 --> 0:48:50.480 verdict over his life that it was over, and down 0:48:50.560 --> 0:48:53.839 came the temple. And thus he killed more when he 0:48:53.880 --> 0:48:58.160 died than when he lived. It's not too late for you. Then, 0:48:58.480 --> 0:49:04.080 then then what then shall you say? Then I gave up, 0:49:05.120 --> 0:49:11.920 or then I stepped up, then I stayed down, or 0:49:11.960 --> 0:49:15.480 then I got up. And maybe if you don't believe me, 0:49:15.600 --> 0:49:19.839 or Moses or David or Samson, maybe you believe Peter. 0:49:21.239 --> 0:49:23.520 Peter denied he even knew the Lord. He sat down 0:49:23.560 --> 0:49:25.759 by the fire and acted like he wasn't even a 0:49:25.800 --> 0:49:29.960 follower of his best friend. You can feel like you 0:49:30.040 --> 0:49:32.719 disappointed God, sometimes so bad that you'll never get up. 0:49:33.760 --> 0:49:37.040 But I thank God for the Day of pentecov I said, 0:49:37.040 --> 0:49:40.680 I thank God for Acts Chapter two, I thank God 0:49:40.719 --> 0:49:44.680 for Romans eight thirty one. What then, because Acts two 0:49:44.719 --> 0:49:49.480 fourteen says, then Peter stood up. Everybody, stand up on 0:49:49.520 --> 0:49:52.400 your feet right now. This is your part in the message. 0:49:53.360 --> 0:49:56.600 Hit your neighbors, say stand up. God's not done with you. 0:49:56.640 --> 0:49:57.040 Get up. 0:49:57.080 --> 0:49:57.839 It's not over. 0:49:58.239 --> 0:50:02.120 Get up, it's not gone, it's not lost. And Peter 0:50:02.320 --> 0:50:03.640 preached so good. 0:50:03.960 --> 0:50:07.680 That three thousand people got saved because he stood out. 0:50:13.239 --> 0:50:17.600 Maybe if you don't believe Peter, you'll believe the thief 0:50:19.160 --> 0:50:23.520 who was hanging on a cross. He didn't do anything 0:50:23.640 --> 0:50:28.120 right to deserve to be saved. His friend was mocking Jesus. 0:50:28.200 --> 0:50:31.719 But he had a little bit of faith, just a 0:50:31.760 --> 0:50:34.360 little bit of faith, not enough to get his act together. 0:50:34.600 --> 0:50:36.160 He didn't even have long left. 0:50:36.719 --> 0:50:38.759 For all of you who think that there's not enough time, 0:50:38.800 --> 0:50:42.160 you can change the end. Because the Bible. 0:50:41.840 --> 0:50:46.600 Says that while one hurled insults and one said save us, if. 0:50:46.560 --> 0:50:48.200 You're really who you say you are. 0:50:48.600 --> 0:50:51.600 There was one thief on the cross, and there was 0:50:51.840 --> 0:50:55.480 one then that he spoke, and this is the message. 0:50:55.880 --> 0:50:59.760 Then he said, Jesus, when. 0:50:59.600 --> 0:51:03.080 You say Jesus, I don't care what you've been through. 0:51:03.480 --> 0:51:06.000 When you say Jesus, when. 0:51:05.800 --> 0:51:08.840 You call on the name, come on, somebody, come. 0:51:08.800 --> 0:51:09.440 Be preached us. 0:51:09.760 --> 0:51:14.200 When you say Jesus, Demons flee. When you say Jesus, 0:51:14.680 --> 0:51:25.920 waters dart. When you say Jesus, he said, Jesus, remember 0:51:26.040 --> 0:51:29.520 me when you come in your kingdom. Jesus looked back 0:51:29.560 --> 0:51:31.960 and said, because you said, then, I say to you truly, 0:51:32.000 --> 0:51:36.000 I tell you today you will be with me in Paradise. 0:51:36.239 --> 0:51:38.960 And the Egyptians you see today you will see no 0:51:39.120 --> 0:51:44.080 more because of this. Then, now the word of the 0:51:44.120 --> 0:51:48.120 Lord has come with power and velocity and great personal 0:51:48.200 --> 0:51:51.920 application to you today. What will you do with this word? 0:51:52.239 --> 0:51:58.160 You are responsible for him that in real time the 0:51:58.239 --> 0:52:01.640 familiar sounds of Pharaoh behind me. That's the old life, 0:52:02.320 --> 0:52:05.040 the unfamiliar terrain of the life of faith that awakes you. 0:52:05.120 --> 0:52:14.000 This is a hinge moment. What then shall you say? 0:52:15.239 --> 0:52:17.120 You know, I spent years away from God. Then one 0:52:17.200 --> 0:52:22.640 day I went to church and the preacher was preaching, 0:52:22.680 --> 0:52:25.880 and it got to this moment and I realized I 0:52:25.960 --> 0:52:32.920 need God. I need God and I and I lifted 0:52:32.960 --> 0:52:37.319 my hands to him, and I began to worship him, 0:52:37.440 --> 0:52:39.279 and I began to praise him, and I said, God, 0:52:40.239 --> 0:52:42.400 I'm sorry for what I did. I repented my sins, 0:52:42.400 --> 0:52:45.399 but God, can you raise me up? And because of that, 0:52:45.480 --> 0:52:51.359 then it changed the end. And that's why I'm here today. 0:52:51.880 --> 0:52:55.919 That's why I'm lifting both of my hands. Play God. 0:52:55.960 --> 0:52:56.800 I'm just grateful. 0:52:57.120 --> 0:52:59.240 That's why I'm lifting both of my hands. 0:53:00.520 --> 0:53:09.640 He gave me tad after tad after test. Come on, 0:53:09.760 --> 0:53:13.400 this is not the This is not the. 0:53:15.680 --> 0:53:19.920 Get up like David and warsa right, Jorge s up. 0:53:19.920 --> 0:53:21.600 Like stuffing a post. 0:53:22.840 --> 0:53:27.520 Like Peter stand up and great like the Big Bumble Cross. 0:53:27.840 --> 0:53:33.279 Thank Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. 0:53:34.239 --> 0:53:36.880 Jesus.
